Pros: Cheap, Quiet, Reliable
Cons: Not feature packed
This is one of the best beginner guns you can buy, and by now the price for them has fallen even more. Made by a reputable company, Dye Precision, they have some, but defiantly not all, of the features in the more expensive models. The regulator is easy to clean and use, and so is the bolt, with the color coded orings. The eye pipe also makes cleaning the marker a breeze since you don't have to worry about your eyes. Not the quietist gun in the world, but defidently less noticeable than an Ego. Cheapest good spoolie on the market.

Pros: Smooth, reliable
Cons: Efficiency
This gun is a great gun for anybody who is getting into speedball. The gun has many features that the higher end Dye guns have. It has the same reg, trigger frame(but composite), and essentially the same bolt. The gun is extremely quiet and extremely smooth. It doesn't shoot like a beginners gun.

The efficiency sucks really bad, but if your playing at a field with free air then it is nothing to worry about. You definitely need a 68 45 tank on the gun though.

Another problem with the marker is the bolt disassembly. The bolt is IMPOSSIBLE to take out sometimes. The boring on the body of the gun is simply too tiny.

Proto Paintball Rail 11 Just had a birthday party and used it for the first time. It was very reliable never stopped working. Needs a longer barrel to more accurate though.

The Proto Rail is not an SLG. Nothing on the rail resembles an slg at all. The Rail hasn't broken paint at all nor have I had any problems with it since it came out. It is a bit of an airhog but youd expect this efficiency anyways from a spoolie like this. This gun does not resemble an ion more of a blackhearted vibe on steroids...

Pros: Accurate, appearance, A TANK!
Cons: Asa, feed neck
Got this as my christmas present this year, and I couldn't be more pleased. I don't have a lot to compare it to (I've only had crappy mechs), other than testing out my friends guns such as Minis, axes, eXTCy, blitzes, kaos, and some piranha gun. Out of all those, I think I would take my rail over everything but maybe the Axe. For starters, this gun is ACCURATE, even with the stock barrel. It was shooting better with crappy paint in it then my friends mini was with the good stuff. My Asa is a little crazy, and when I chrono there is a huge discrepancy, but I plan on getting an on off anyway. My favorite part about this gun is that it's a TANK!!! It's like the 98c of speedball. So far it's been dropped on concrete twice, had mud caked in the barrel, reg, and board, been thrown around in the woods, and been used in pouring rain. I still haven't even broken a ball. If you're just getting into speedball, or can't afford something high end (like me), I HIGHLY recommend this marker.
