I got this gun as a chance to get back into playing without buying a used, or a really expensive gun. I have no problems with it, i took it to my local pro shop and give it a tune to make sure its as best as it could be, and i have yet to have a problem with it. Great for starters.

This gun is a great gun for anybody who is getting into speedball. The gun has many features that the higher end Dye guns have. It has the same reg, trigger frame(but composite), and essentially the same bolt. The gun is extremely quiet and extremely smooth. It doesn't shoot like a beginners gun.
The efficiency sucks really bad, but if your playing at a field with free air then it is nothing to worry about. You definitely need a 68 45 tank on the gun though.
Another problem with the marker is the bolt disassembly. The bolt is IMPOSSIBLE to take out sometimes. The boring on the body of the gun is simply too tiny.

Proto Paintball Rail 11Just had a birthday party and used it for the first time. It was very reliable never stopped working. Needs a longer barrel to more accurate though.

Had this gun a week now, was very excited to get it. I played speedball 4 years ago and wanted to get back into it so I went with the rail.
A lot of the major components are similar to any other dye gun. Eye pipe, hyper 3 reg, and board. What a lot of other people consider cons to the gun I find to be good points. The composite frame feels good and is very light, the braided steel line is much more durable and dependable than macro line, and both those only bother people who are worried about looks, performance wise they are wonderful.
The stock barrel is a bit short at 11" but is pretty accurate in spite of that. I would recommend a better barrel, that is the only and best upgrade that affects performace that a person could buy. The feedneck is a Allen wreck tightened, and doesn't affect performance but is the only other big upgrade that I would recommend.
I have a 90/4500 tank hooked up to it (huge I know) and shot 1000 paintballs through it and still has 1000 psi in it. A bit of a air hog but I think it will het better once it's "broken in"
All in all, this gun will keep up with all the $1000 guns for a fraction of the price. I love it and highly recommend it.

The Proto Rail is not an SLG. Nothing on the rail resembles an slg at all. The Rail hasn't broken paint at all nor have I had any problems with it since it came out. It is a bit of an airhog but youd expect this efficiency anyways from a spoolie like this. This gun does not resemble an ion more of a blackhearted vibe on steroids...
