Pros: At $230 it is basically an NT in anyones budget
Cons: Clamping feedneck, No on/off airport, barrel
Other than the screw type locking feedneck, 11" stock barrel, and the airport with no on/off, this gun is absolutely beautiful and shoots just as nice and quiet as anything. I like my 2011 rail more than my 2009 proto PMR. It is light, has many new features such as the eyepipe. You can upgrade the feedneck, barrel, and airport for about $120 and you will basically have a gun that could take you anywhere and last a lifetime. I would recommend this gun to anybody. Mine came with a defective board, sent it to dye. They took care of it fast and no problems. Even with that set back I still love this gun. I have played airball with it a few times and probably won't be using my 09 pmr anymore. This gun is light!!!

Cons: Solenoid breaks easily
I had my Rail 11 for almost a year and constantly had issues with it. This gun is not made to play in the cold with or is really any conditions other then clear weather. The solenoid broke almost everytime i used my gun and was not because of what i was doing. This is a alright gun for the price but would not recommend it.

Cons: unreliable, inefficient
You certainly get what you pay for when you purchase a 2011 Proto rail. Although it's cheap and good enough to get anybody started in competitive paintball it will definitely remind you eventually that you only paid around $200 for it. The gun won't work correctly unless it has a %100 brand new battery and the perfect amount of lube on the bolt. I've had to change o-rings almost every time i've taken it to the field, and every once in a while it will just decide to shoot either 100 or 350 feet per second. Maybe I got a lemon but I'm certainly not giving any money to Proto with my next marker purchase.

I got this gun as a chance to get back into playing without buying a used, or a really expensive gun. I have no problems with it, i took it to my local pro shop and give it a tune to make sure its as best as it could be, and i have yet to have a problem with it. Great for starters.
