pros:bps for the price is great,its very good for new paintballers, it barely chops balls,,and has 4 different modes,also has eyes so u dont waste air if u dont know if ur hopper is empty, and it can use co2 and HPA.
Cons:stock barrel is very short,it is a very loud gun,u have to buy a feedneck for it,the choice of color is horrible,takes a while to charge thats about it.
All in all, i would totally recommend this gun.

This was my first ever paintball marker. It was good to me. Easy to maintain, clean, use. Never had a real problem with it. I did realize quickly that I wanted a better performing marker, but its great for a first timer. One thing that is terrible I must admit, is the stock feedneck.
Overall - If you're looking for an affordable electronical marker with eyes that can also run on co2, this is the way to go.
*I based the rating on a low-end marker. Not a comparison to other markers*.

Yea! finally a gun that is electronic, cheap, and runs on c02! when i got this gun i loved it. The only things you will need to upgrade is the feedneck.(feedneck is ion Threaded!) they make multiple boards for the gun. ANYWAY the gun shoots very well out of the box, but it is a little rough on paint. (ultra-Evil breaks) for the price this gun can't be beat, electronic, eyes, c02 or hpa, fully upgradeable. So if your just starting or looking for a reliable backup the Vs1 is for you.

The Vs1, in short, provides a good opportunity as an strong shooting entry to even mid level gun.
VS1's bring the technology of the VS series (eyes are the key upgrade over earlier Spyders), and allows it to be used with CO2 for a lower price.
The gun itself can shoot furiously for a low end, and is well worth the value.
However, the gun could use better stock features, as some of the stock components are just not reliable, such as the feedneck.
Falling back, I fully recommend the gun as a backup or a gun for new paintball players.

First owned marker but have shot many others including Shockers, Ions and Tippmans. Like others say youll fall in love with it for your 1st gun. It runs on eyes which haven't let me down (as long as you have a fast enough Hopper tho!) The feedneck is a minor deal I bought one for 10-15 bucks off Ebay. One of the biggest drawback is the kick since its a low end marker its expected.
Best comparison for kick is between a Tippman98 stock and a stock ion
Everything else works well I would however suggest a bigger barrel 12in 14inch your choice
Upgrading the board wise I dont think is necessary since its capped at 20BPS unless your playing tournaments but youll have to decide for yourself.

Best thing about it is it has eyes, runs on CO2, and actually shoots pretty well. It's a blowback, with hammer and sear, so it isn't the quietest gun and has a slight kick to it. The feedneck that it comes with should be replaced, but everything else is pretty kick *** if your just starting out.
