Pros: esthetically pleasing, easy maintenance, sturdy structural components, decent accuracy with stock barrel and didn't eat up air too badly.

Cons:
Picked up this gun soon after it came out because I liked the design and I trusted Kingman and their products from past experience. I wish I had waited a little bit longer and read some reviews because this gun was a constant tech job right out of the box.

First up, it chopped high quality paint straight out of the box (x-ball bronze) like there was no tomorrow, bought timmy detents and the problem toned down a little bit.

The second time I had the gun out the board magically fried right in the middle of the game, I took damn good care of this gun and to this day I can't think of any reason why this happened. Sent the gun back for warranty and when I got it back it worked for another day then broke again. On new hammer later I made sure the thing shot properly and I sold it.

The stock makes it next to impossible to sight the MR-2 with a mask on so hoping for the best turned into the new aiming.

6/10 overall.

Pros: Looks, Weight, Price, Ease of Use
Cons: Aftermarket parts, need a hopper
I have had the MR2 for about 3 months. When I first got it I bought a Q loader because all the reviewers said I needed a good force fed loader. They were right. With all the blow back I was never able to use this gun in semi with a gravity fed hopper. Once I go the Q I was happy... until I had to switch paint. My MR2 is very paint sensitive. I have had problems with my anti-chop bolt, it has never worked as advertised. After looking hard enough I noticed that my bolt was defective. I have already replaced it with an Alamo City Bolt so I do not know if it works otherwise.

Appearance: I really like the looks of this gun, it is the main reason I pcked it over something else. I also like the weight of the MR2. I does not feel like some cheap toy to me. I am not constantly worried about breaking it when I roll down an embankment.

Performance: For the price its not bad but there are faster and more efficient markers out there. This one was still more than I really needed.

Reliability: My problem with reliability is still unresolved. I can only run a couple of brands of paint without some serious bolt chops. Right now I can only run Frostbite or White box. Hope to update in the summer.

Value: The cost of the marker was not a problem to me but the necessity of a fast loader kind of drives up the cost some. That said I would make the purchase again if I had the chance.

Cons: My biggest con of all is the fact that the MR2 is a little different than most other Spyders. There is a limited supply of aftermarket parts available. There are some don't get me wrong but not as many as some others.

Pros: Looks nice, ease of use, inexpensive?
Cons: trigger frame(wide), barrel shroud(limits barrels)
I got this gun almost 1 year ago exactly and I was not too impressed. When I got it, I was not experienced with spyders (or really anything other than a tippman). When I used it for the first few times, it was just chopping like mad. I just kind of said "screw it" and returned to my tippy. About 6 months ago, I decided that it was time to find out what the issue was because thats $200 I'm not getting back. I came here, to PBNation and went to the search (when it actually worked) and immediately found out that I was not the only one with said problem. It turns out that early MR2s came with terrible detents and that all you needed was to buy and modify some Intimidator detents. After this easy fix, I am proud to own my MR2, it performs very well now (minus the fact that it has terrible efficiency).

Pros: Looks, Realistic feel and weight
Cons: Gas Hog, Lack of Upgrades
Bought it used for 50.00 dollars, added MR3 Assault kit, 32 Degree valve assy, Shockteck Spring kit, Alamo City delrin bolt, CP vertical regulator, CP ASA valve, Dye drop forward Trinity feedneck, J&J 16 inch Ceramic barrel, Spec Ops suppressor, JT remote line, modified factory stock, 2 power compact scope, polished striker. After all of this and some fine tuning it finally shoots great and is no longer a Gas Hog. The J&J barrel is incredible and the Alamo City bolt with the 32 degree valve assy really helped with consistent FPS. Since this is a sniper gun I only use a 50 round hopper but if I know I will be using 3 round or auto I go with the Halo hopper. 25 BPS was just a selling point but not reality, 15-18 is probably a more realistic average. Overall I use this gun the most in woodsball/scenario and have built others for friends and have gotten similar results with consistency and accuracy. I have now about 125 in this gun and would probably buy an MR4 or a Project Salvo if i had to do it over.

most people say that this gun chops horribly and that is true at first. once you take out the bolt and work it then it works fine. i love being able to easily change the mode i am in very very fast. this gun is perfect for woodsball and also great for speedball. it needs a good electric hopper to be at its best. its great for a backup, begining gun, or a woodsballer

Well the gun looks pretty awesome but its performance was so so you can never put the gun on fully auto it will chop almost everyone 3 burst shot you may get luck oh yea only try 3 burst with an eletric hopper other then that you'll chop with a gravity feed i only think you should use semi because the gun sucks on everything else but even on semi with a gravity feed you'll chop i used an egg 2 with this gun on semi and surprisngly i didnt chop one doing about 10bps on semi with a 170 paintballs. barrels are hard to find but there are some good ones. upgrades for this gun are cheap but once again hard to find if your looking for a cheap woodsball gun that can shoot somewhat fast and u dont mind cleaning it almost after every game then you should buy the mr2 but if you dont like cleaning paint every 5 seconds get a diff gun

I would never reccomend this gun to anyone unless you just love to clean your gun after every game, go with the tippmann a5 or x7 if you want a good reliable woods gun
