I bought this semi-new from a pawnshop(box, all parts, manual), it was my first PB gun, though I don't like to admit it. I only shot 25rds through it before it broke, fixed it, shot about the same number again and the feedneck cracked for some reason. After I taped it, the trigger broke, and I just got fed up with trying to put it back together again. So I took it back, yelled, and was given my claimed first gun: an F4 Illustrator. I caution anyone buying this for their kid/friend/parent, don't there are better choices out there.

Cons: Most everything
Having had one for a while just to mess around with (and one to fix, which - for some reason I had an issue getting it to re-cock after having replaced all the orings, after hardly having been used) - this is an accurate review. I have also had many friends having had similar encounters with this marker.

Pros:
Cheap
Semi-Auto

Cons:
Cheaply made
More complicated to take apart than other brands (ex. Spyder)
Harsh on paint, though for the price and brand it's expected

This marker shoots paintballs, sometimes....it breaks easily and is so cheaply made it's not even funny.

Honestly, for the price, buy a Spyder instead - they are more reliable, easier to maintain, and shoot better.

This marker gets a 1/5 rating from me.

This gun was my upgrade from my Brass Eagle Blade. It's obviously a cheap marker, but it worked well enough considering my competition at the time. I was playing in the woods out in Texas and few of my friends had anything nicer than Brass Eagles semi-autos, with the occasional Tippmann or Spyder.

I never had any problems with my Marauder, it was reliable (aside from paint breaks) and easy to maintain. The barrel however was no good, I think my all plastic Blade was actually more accurate...

I wouldn't take this to a field, you'd be better off renting, but as a strictly "try out paintball" marker in your backyard it's fine. Just don't expect a whole heck of a lot from it.

I still have nightmares about my old Marauder. I got it when I was like 12 and thought it would be a cool upgrade from my BE pump. Turned out to be a total piece of **** and waste of time. This gun ruined paintball for me for a while. It never worked and when it did it would chop paint and cough up giant chunks of CO2, and the gun would start burping randomly.

Pros: Cheap, pretty good for the price, loud
Cons: Looks, lack of a foregrip, you get what you pay for
I rather like this little gun. For the price I paid for it was investment. I really think everyone should be forced to use one of these for a little bit when they start playing paintball. Teaches them to appreciate a better gun more.

Pros:
CHEAP. You don't need to have basically any money to buy this gun.
Consistency isn't too bad
I didn't really feel like the recoil was too bad
Real easy to fix, and it doesn't break often.
Cons:
Again, you get what you pay for. This isn't going to behave like an autococker or a Luxe. It's not super efficient.
The trigger pull is a little long. Maybe ~6 bps max. It doesn't have a foregrip, which bugs me and is my only real gripe with this gun.

In conclusion, if your kid is just starting out, buy him this, a shake and bake hopper, and a CO2 tank. >$50, he can feel out the sport, then buy him an upgrade. He'll appreciate it more. It's a solid beginner gun I'd recommend to anyone.

This was the first marker I have ever owned, and that got me started into paintball. And honestly, I can't really think of anything good to really say about it. Ball broke so easily, and the shoots that didn't break pretty much took a sharp turn to the left/right. I'd say pass on this and go with a spyder.

This gun should be pulled from the shelves of Walmart. The only good thing about this gun is that you can pull the trigger and a paintball will come out the barrel. You don't know where it will go other than away from you most the time. Don't buy this gun even for someone just starting out.

I got this as a Brass Eagle Eradicator from Walmart back in 2001 as my first paintball gun.

Frankly for what you would expect out of it, it was absolutely fine. As opposed to my autocockers, electros, and even occasionally my Tippmann A5, this thing never went down on me. Field stripping is as easy as pulling out a single pin.

Admittedly, it was remarkably inaccurate regardless of aftermarket barrel, paint-barrel match, etc., but I suppose that's to be expected with a Spyder clone.

All in all, not a terrible backup gun. On several occasions, I've had my main gun go down, and been okay getting by with this thing. Might I recommend bunkering and run-throughs to make up for the lack in accuracy.
