This is probably the most underestimated paintball pistol ever, But I think some of those opinions are biased. This gets way more shot per 12 gram the both the t8 and the TPX. The mags are also larger (2-5 balls more), and has way more customizable options. I have both the sa-17 and the tiberius t8.1, and I say that the only time the t8 should be used over the sa-17 is when using first strike rounds. (but first strike is about $0.40 per shot). The sa-17 is bigger, but the grips are much smaller than the t8 (the t8 has 12 grams in the grip) and is much easier for smaller hands. Both of these pistols IMO are better than the TPX (bad 12 gram efficiency, to much plastic, and chops to many balls) so i'm not even going to compare. Maintenance on the sa-17 is also much easier because it is a standard blowback marker, so all you have to do to clean it, is take out the hammer and bolt, then put a couple drops of oil.
I give this marker 5 stars on everything, but appearance , because i think it could be better looking.

If you are in the market for an efficient pistol and you don't care that it's not clip fed, then this is your marker. You can purchase any number of conversion kits for it. I'll be getting the rifle conversion kit so i can mount a mini pocket hopper on it and use a bottom line, just add a quick release and I can go from bottom line to 12g in a matter of seconds. I get 30 rds +/- per 12 gram. And the ability to switch out barrel inserts is awesome. You can mount any autococker barrel on the front in place of the barrel insert retainer. quick and easy maintenance. And all this for under $150 new. You're silly if you don't highly consider this if you are looking for a pistol to use as a main gat and not a firearm.

i got this gun because it was cheap. for the price it works very well and it is accurate. it is very easy to clean and it is customizable. it also has better 12 gram efficiency than most other pistols. the only problems are that it is hard to reload and is fairly big. overall the gun works great and it is fun to use.

I had been wanting a pistol for a while and I came across this particular one and was like why not and ended up buying 2 of them. So the next weekend went to the local field to play some CQB @ BR in Fayetteville, NC, I decided to play a match with one of my pistols, and with in the first minute and a half of play got my buddy with a fairly long shot and was stoked. I mean it was just his elbow sticking out and I just took the shot and nailed it. Having never used a pistol before I'd say for the money this one is AMAZING, its easy to use, thus far reliable, easy break down for cleaning and maintenance, and surprisingly accurate. The only major flaw with the entire setup is it is a pain to reload in a hurry, because it is hard to get the little latch. I'd recommend this gun to anyone who wants a trusty back up on the field.
