I used this gun for a short period of time, being an empire sponsored team. I used this over many egos/dms in the past. If I every decide to get back into the game, I'd for sure just pick up an Empire Axe. The simplicity behind the gun and performance given for such a low cost should definitely attract buyers.

Empire Axe I love this gun. I owned one for a year and finally got rid of it. It shoots smooth and always fires great. Keep it cleaned and it's the best back up gun around!

Cons: odd feel, bottom line
I picked up my axe last summer as I wanted to try one out. I was extremely surprised how well it shot. Easily one of the best shooting markers ive owned with an aftermarket barrel on it. The feel is a bit odd as the foregrip is much larger than a normal regulator. Also, the ASA/reg will dig into your hand. I purchased the axetenze from paintballdelivery.com and it was much more comfortable to shoot. GREAT MARKER for the price for sure

Pros: Best gun for the price. Efficient. Hose-less.
Cons: ...Short? Stock barrel.
This gun is amazingly well done. It is very affordable and can easily hang with or even outperform guns that cost upwards of $800. It's very nice in the hands, relatively light-weight, and quite efficient (9 pods on approx. 3100psi). It shoots smooth and is quiet. The only thing that Empire did wrong here was the barrel. It's on the lower end of not so great. I use a Dye UL on my Axe and it shoots like a dream. Love this gun.

Pros: Compact, efficient, lightweight
Cons: No OLED, programming is a little confusing, barrel
When I first pulled the Axe out of the box and picked it up, it fit perfectly in my hands and was very comfortable. They are very lightweight, but not too light (I like a little weight in my hands).

The Axe comes with a one piece barrel (one of its few flaws) that is bored very large. The trigger is very smooth and has an easy pull, after a little tinkering and adjusting I got it to where I liked. Accessing the bolt is easy and very convenient. Just push a little tab, twist and pull. The grips are comfy and fit well in my hands. The ASA/Reg looks very large and awkward at first glance, but after playing with it, it isn't noticeable at all. Right out of the box I took it to the chrono, aired it up, adjusted the pressure, and the first three shots were 250, 252, 250. Very impressive! I adjusted the velocity to roughly 280 and was still shooting +\-5. Shoots great, very little kick, and never gives me any problems.

Pros: lightweight, compact, quite, accurate, dependable, easy to use/maintain.

Cons: Barrel, board programming is a little tricky (will be getting a OLED).

Overall a fantastic gun! Just another high quality product from empire!

Cons: stock barrel
i bought a invert mini 3 weeks ago used for 170. i than started looking at the AXE so i sold the mini for 230 (hustler right? lol) and bought the AXE from my local shop. i got it home gassed it up and shot it at a target about 45 ft away, at first the grouping was very tight but after about 300 balls through they were ball on ball. the thing is extremely accurate i was hitting fence posts from 60+ ft away. its got a really quite sound to it. there isnt alot of kick either. all in all i would say it is a very nice gun, the only issue i have is it only comes in 3 colors and the stock barrels are kinda crappy for long range. but is better than anyother gun in its price range. it is deffinetly more than just "stretched" mini. its like a mini reincarnated.

Empire Axe

IF YOU HAVEN'T SHOT THE AXE, YOU NEED TO!

I am very impressed with the way this marker shoots! It is now balanced in way that makes it very easy to hold and shoot. Smooth Ropes with a bit of kick at higher rates of fire about 15 bps.

The Trigger is a million times better, but it could still be a bit improved.

The feedneck needs a thumb adjustable screw, yet it gets the job done.

The bolt out of the back is bad ***! Real simple maintenance.

OLED Board would be nice because I hate counting lights. Hey the stock NT still requires math skills as well.

You will need a better barrel. I recommend a Disruptive barrel or PE.

On/Off is convenient and not difficult to use.

Efficiency - 10 + pods on 68/45

Consistency isn't its strong point +/- 7 on chrono with evil paint.

Overall

I am extremely happy with my Axe! With a new barrel, the only must have, I could easily be happy with this marker being my only paintball marker! I ended up shooting this marker at HB after Luxe battery died and NT went out. It performed nicely.

EDIT: Played with it in PSP mode. SHOOTS BEASTLY. MORE AND MORE IMPRESSED!

Pros: Durable, Easy to maintain, lots of upgrades ava.
Cons: Regulator Unservicable, asa
Bought an empire axe at the beginning of this season and wow was i impressed, sold off my ego 11 and dm12 because this is more then enough gun and will perform with the highest end markers out there.

The axe is super durable, i can go crawling through gravel, sand, mud you name it the axe will take it no problem. Ergonomics are good, more then enough room for big hands, MUCH LARGER THEN A MINI!!!! Grips are comfortable, detents are good and long lasting. Stock the axe is one of the quietest markers i have shoot, and is smooth and very air efficient ( about 9 pods off a 68/4500) Upgrading to a boss bolt only makes the gun more efficient and smoother!

Everyone seems to complain about the feedneck, but i never really had a problem with it, tighten it up right and don't be a tech tard and the feedneck will work just fine.

My only real gripe with the gun is the asa, the lever always seems to be flapping around in my gearbag. Air it up to fast and it will blow a ball out. Also when you degass it, it doesn't always purge, seems like a 50/50 chance it will degass. Degassed it one day and was packing up and accidently pulled the trigger and it shot off a ball, luckily i still had my barrel sock on. The gauge on the asa could also be a little more accurate.

Overall would i recommend the axe to a friend YES, great gun 8.5/10

best bang for your buck in paintball
