Cons: everyone has one
So I have had my Empire Axe (PRO) for just about 7 months now and I am impressed. This marker has not once broke down on me.. I went from a luxe to the axe so it was night and day reliability difference. The luxe is smoother but it is one of those super expensive, smooth markers.. With my Axe, I have the boss bolt put in so it is buttery smooth. We were playing a little scrum at a local field and my friend had my marker and off the break shot a shot at our friend on the field.. no one heard it (it is just that quiet). And yes, I KNOW THAT WAS WRONG, WHATEVER. Anyway, It is really really reliable and really quiet and smooth. Great for the money.

Looks very nice, milling around the bolt is smooth, cool color combinations.

Feel
Barely any kick, in a game you wouldn't recognize it. Comfortable in your hands.

Ergonomics
Very smooth shot, pretty soft bolt, quiet shots. Meant to be lightweight and small, perfect for a small guy like me.

Maintenance
Very easy maintenance tool-less bolt disassembly, easy to operate board.

Empire Axe Love it for the price, but the stock board doesn't save the settings when you change the battery. I put the Redline on and then really enjoyed the marker.

After shooting a luxe for about 3 years, decided to spend my tax return and get an Axe. Needless to say, it may not be as smooth as my luxe but definitely a solid shooting marker. I have no problem picking this marker up over my luxe any day. Aside from the heavy marketing that Empire has invested in with the Pro teams, I honestly feel that Empire have outdone themselves with the Axe. The only thing I'm not to fond of is the inability to service the regulator as it voids the warranty if you try to do so yourself.

I've owned my Axe for a while now and I can honestly say it is the best marker I've ever owned. I've never had any big problems with it, besides a small occasional leak that can be fixed by regularly lubing it. It is an excellent mid-range marker and cannot be beat for the price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, cheap marker.

Cons: Barrel may be a little small; Waves with somepaint
This marker is amazing! I originally had a Tippmann 98 Custom, so the upgrade was HUGE. I bought this off of a friend for $120, and he gave me a hopper, tank, and a mask. For a pre-teen, the Axe feels great in the hands. After my first game using it, I knew that it was going to take me far in paintball. I did go trigger happy, but I practiced and am now careful with how much paint I use. The board that came with it was the original one, so in order to adjust the settings, I had to go into the gun. However, the friend I bought it off of gave me the new one, so it was all good. It really made me more secure when playing; before with the 98 Custom, I would get scared facing off with electros, but I felt safer with the Axe. I will take care of this gun for a long time, and I will use it for a long time! Overall great value!
