Pros: Reliable, Nice weight, Upgrade options
Cons: Feedneck, Stock Barrel
Got this marker LNIB, with everything stock included. Tested out in my backyard, shoots ropes and is very accurate. My only problem is that I don't like the feedneck, it's a bit of a pain to use sometimes. Also going to replace the stock barrel as soon as I can. Haven't used it in speedball yet, but looking to use go play soon. Overall, seems like a great marker for the price!

Pros: Performs like a dream, and is very user friendly.
Cons: Attempting to service some parts voids warranty.
I've owned a few Axe's over the years and every none of them have ever failed me. Invert and Empire made a solid marker with the Mini, and then improved upon it's design and added much desired functionality to make the Axe. It's got the reliability and ease of use of a Mini with a larger body and on/off ASA to boot. It's very easily disassembled with only the removal of a few screws, which makes regular maintenance is a breeze. The only problem I've ever had with the Axe is that Empire likes to make some parts on the gun, namely the regulator, not user serviceable. Attempting to take the reg apart will void your warranty. That being said, you usually have no need to take the reg apart anyway. At least not more than once every 50 cases or so, if ever. All in all, the Axe is a fantastic mid-level marker for any paintballer looking for performance, reliability and ease of use.

I love this gun, I've had for a year now and I haven't had ANY problems with it, i can go a couple of weeks without cleaning and lubing and it shoots fine. The only thing that i don't like about the marker is the stock barrel, i think it's a .692 bore size, which is a really big. Back a few years ago that would've been a perfect bore size put now the paint is smaller, a .689 would be perfect. So if you buy this gun i recommend that you also get a new barrel.

Cons: too mainstream
The axe is what comes to mind when I think *what is a paintball gun most similar to a tank?* these things are like the new egos.

The Pros
These have to be some of the most well made (and priced) electros that have been made since 2005 (AKA Guns). They shoot very well when the input pressure is ~180 and the spring adjustment tunes the gun to ~285. I simply cant think of anything to say except how nice they are for the price.

The Cons
Everybody and their mother has either shot one, or owned 7.

Be forewarned, I'm an Empire Fanboy...

However, I have shot Dyes, Protos, Egos, Ethas and I love my Axe Pro. I picked up one of the limited Axe Pro's with the Infamous 'Dropping Bombs' stencilling. With a Redline grip or Virtue board this gun can hang with the $1250 guns easily, as evidenced by X-Factor and Infamous placing well all this past year.

As a larger player I added a Nummech Grip Extender for a more comfortable fit.

My only beef is that I fried my original Axe (over 2 years out of it though) after getting some water in between the grip and body. This shorted out the board. I ended up putting a Redline on and reselling it to a friend, and have not heard a single complaint.

cons - the stock barrel. only thing, its a little too short and slightly overbored, thats the only thing ive gotten for it, and frankly, the only thing you need! just tune it a little and it will hang with dm's, nt's, egos and geos all day!
