Empire - Axe Reviews
Empire Axe I bought the limited edition Ice axe. Love it! Shoots just as good as my Luxe did and I get more shots out of my 68/4500 tank.

For the time I have had this gun, Im impressed with it. The gun looks great, its compact, and out of the box it is tournament ready. The only thing I dont like is that the bolt is a little harsh on brittle paint, you can go buy a spring kit to help with brittle paint. Also it is a little on the heavy side. All and all I would have to say its a great gun for under 500.00, and I would recommend it for any level of player.

Pros: Gives the Mini the ups it deserves; flawless
Cons: Not a looker and is quite small
I received a Mini when they first came out. It would turn out to be the most reliable gun I've ever had the privilege to own and shoot. The Axe takes the perfect functionality of the Mini and gives it the On/Off and other steroids that turns it into a top tier paintball marker.

I've never had any of my dozen Minis or 5 Axes have an issue. Not one out of all 17. Even my IM9 needs an oring change every once in awhile and a dab of lube but the Axe is a camel when it comes to reliability.

Because the gun is quite small I typically add a Newmech fore grip extender. For $30 the gun turns into arguably one of the most comfortable feeling guns.

Price paid: $450.00
Pros: Performance, Ergonomics, Ease of Maintenance
Cons: Stock Barrel, little heavy
For the price, this gun cannot be beat. Shoots smooth as butter after being properly broken in and tuned, accurate as any other tournament level paintball marker, efficient (maybe 10 pods off my 68? I only carry 6), speed isn't much of a concern now days but the axe can keep up with 12.5 ramp & 15 semi.

For me, this gun feels great in the hands. I added a tank extender to get it to an appropriate length and now this gun feels perfect. There is an easy to follow tuning guide in the sticky's I recommend to get your axe shooing smooth. If you care to add an aftermarket bolt, you can expect a little smoother shot.

The stock barrel is fine, especially if you like a shorter barrel, but I prefer a 14 inch and different bore sizes.

Compared to a Luxe or Geo 3 you might find this gun a little on the heavy side, but after adding a loader full of paint and a tank on the back BALANCE is much more important IMO. The way I have my Axe setup it is very well balanced.

Whether your a tournament player looking to downgrade or woodsball player looking to go electronic, the Axe is an excellent choice.

I'm writing this review based on 3 different Axe's I have owned. 1 Axe, 1 Axe Pro, and the marker I currently own is an Axe w/Redline. All have been amazing guns, which is why I came back to them

Cons: hard to say
from packaging to performance, this marker is quite impressive. the box was well padded, has a cd manual and a nice parts box. marker itself has a nice balance and weight. aired it up and shot ropes straight out of the box. for the price, it's really hard to find a con, without stating personal preferance. some people are against kee due to their customer service, but that should be for you to decide

Empire Axe Love the Axe. Had a mini...loved it. Bought an Axe...don't regret it. The relay along with the bigger size is worth the upgrade.

One hell of a marker, thats really what it comes down to. Speedball and Woodsball i do both and this marker will handle whatever you throw at it. Just make sure you get a decent hopper and another barrel. The stock barrel is perfectly fine its just bored out to much for a good paint fit on most high end paint. If your looking to upgrade and you dont want to spend over 600 this should be on the top of your new gun list.

traded my ego7 for this gun. came with a boss bolt and spring kit, nano feedneck, and a new board. The stock board is good but i cant stand leds anymore, when most guns come with oled screens already. had a very loud sound signature which i was suprised about. still a small framed gun but got off 3 hoppers from 15k. has a nice spread of paint when shooting. consistent shooting.
