Pros: Great gun for the price
Cons: Doesn't have an Oled board and the barrel is ok
For the money there is no better gun on the market than the empire axe. The gun preforms on par with the 1500 dollar guns, but it does lack some of the bells and whistles you would expect for a gun in that price range.

For 450 dollars you cannot find a marker. It shoots really smoothly and straight. It is also very quiet. I would say it shoots as smoothly as a geo 2.1.
The air efficiency is also alright.

The only negative aspect of the gun is what it comes with. It comes in a cardboard box instead of a nice hard case instead of a hard case. And a 12 inch one piece barrel. There's also some grease, a handful of o-rings and replacement parts.

In summary, it's an awesome gun for the money but you might miss the new the extra features from a more expensive gun.

Pros: Price
Cons: Kick / Blocky
I've own two axes. One of them was just the run of the mill axe and the other an axe pro. They both good the jobs done but just lack in the xfactor department I guess. They both shot the same with my cf boomstick straight and true but had a good amount of kick to it. I never like guns that kick a lot and for the axe it was just too much for me. I would keep one as a backup but not as a first choice. Then again for someone who is just starting to play paintball this is an excellent to start out with. For some it maybe a little much. If you looking to start to play and want to get into airball/speedball then definitely pick one up. Although I still would recommend also picking up a different barrel. The stock does get the job done but youll enjoy the marker a lot of with a upgraded barrel preferably a dye ul or even a cf boomstick haha!

Empire Axe I love my axe but I have noticed that the air efficiency is bad, but after some minor tweaking it seems to be better. Now the bolt stick just started happening to me and I haven't found a fix yet.

Pros: Feel, price, overall great shooter
Cons: Finicky,
I have used the Axe for a tournament and then a couple of practices and hands down for the price this gun is top notch. I have used a multitude of high end markers and this gun is really close to out preforming them. The feel is 10x better then the mini imo and the shot is smooth.

Would recommend to anyone either just getting into paintball or busting into the tourney scene.

The Empire Axe is by far my favorite gun to shoot to date. I have worked in both paintball fields and stores and have shot quite a few markers. The Axe is smooth, quiet, and efficient, especially when properly tuned. I had the honor of owning a NPPL Phoenix Contact team Axe with Boss bolt and acid customs CF trigger and tuned amazingly. I should have never let that one go. The best part about the Axe is, you can own a stellar marker for less than half of what some people pay. This " mid end" marker, as they classify this, will perform along side of any high end you put next to it. I'm certain that if they didn't perform well, pro teams would not still be using them and would switch solely to the vanquish. The only minor minor complaint about the marker is, there are some parts when completely disassembling it that are kind of a pain to service or clean: ie the eyes. But I enjoy spending time learning and servicing my markers, so it doesn't bother me much.

Cons: Asa needs to be tightened sometimes
This is one of the best guns out there. It shoots like a dream. Some people do not like the stock barrel, but I think it is fine unless you have money to burn. The quick bolt release also saves a good amount of time lubing the gun. It is also very efficient. The gun feels amazing and comfortable too. The only con I can think of is the Asa gets loose after a couple games and it needs to be tightened but it's an easy fix! If you are choosing between the Etek, the Mini, and the Axe, defiantly choose the Axe you will not be disappointed. Im proud to be an owner of the Axe

I love my Axe, this is my 2nd marker. Had it for about 6months now. I tried to upgrade the bolt (Boss V2) but my Axe did not like it too much. I tried everything Boss suggested, and had no luck.
It is a really solid marker for the price, once its run in, pop on a decent barrel kit and you are good to go. The maintenance is easy, and it should last for a long while, if you clean and look after it!
only reason I will change is for a lighter marker, and something more high end, thats it.
