I've only had my axe for about a month and it is my first electronic marker. I'm coming from using a stock tippman 98 custom when I used to play woodsball in my backyard 15 years ago.

I did extensive research and ended up adding a little money to my limit and purchasing a used Axe on pbnation. I couldn't be happier with purchase. The one thing people were saying in reviews as a negative is the ergonomics. Which I can see being one of the only issues with the marker. I was able to hold and shoot my buddies Axe and I fell in love. I love the look of the macro less design and the regulator being in the grip. Simple bolt removal for lubing and cleaning. I love it so much I'm looking into getting a back up or maybe its little brother the mini as a back up gun.

Overall, I love my Empire Axe. Couldn't be happier with the purchase and its making me want to get more Empire gear!

Kee customer service is second to none. I was having an issue with the virtue eye board that came with my axe, they asked if I had the stock eye board I replied "no, I bought the gun used on pbnation" the friendly customer service agent responded "oh no problem, we'll send you a new stock sensor board no charge to you". I was dumbfounded to say the least. I have never been so impressed with a companies customer service, especially with what seems to be a decline in the quality of customer service some companies have these days.

Love my Axe, if I had to do it all over again I would choose an Axe!

Pros: Smooth, Efficient, Light.
Cons: Simple board.
I have had my Empire Axe since October 2012 and i have been loving every minute of using it. It is a big improvement over the Invert Mini (which is still a great little gun). The On/Off ASA w/ gauge is handy (not that you will ever have to adjust the psi after first setting it unless you get a new bolt). Feedneck fits my Dye Rotor nicely. It super light even with my 68/45 Draxxus HPA tank on it.

My only complaint is the not so much that the board is a simple board with the four main fire modes (Semi-Auto, PSP/Ramping, Full Auto/NXL, Millenium/Ramping) and if you change them you have to reset the Rate of Fire that you wanted before because you really don't need a million different modes but the board is somewhat exposed to damage if water slips in the cracks of the grip door.

The larger Invert Mini.

This is the most reliable marker I have owned and shoots great. I use it with a Rotor and Deadly Wind barrel kit and can shoot ropes cross-field, but prefer short bursts. The Axe is a great low-cost electro gun that will satisfy any and all rec-ballers and tourney players.

the Axe is a great marker. it keeps up with all the other highend guns on the market and then some. easy to clean and take a part. for the price it should come with a better case then just a box with foam padding. its to bulky in a gear bag. iv been using it since the gun came out and its been my main gun to use.

picked up an axe this year for the first time. have been impressed with it so far. have had much better luck with this than I did my old mini. the fact that they integrated an on/off into the reg makes this a worthy upgrade from the mini by itself.

Cons: Comfort of Trigger Frame
This marker has been outstanding for me. I love the way it shoots, the way the trigger feels and the on/off asa. It has been a consistent shooter getting within +/- 5 bps. Also with all the parts coming out for this marker you can make it your own opposed to having a marker that look like everyone else's. My only cons are the shape of the trigger frame and the fact that taking apart the reg voids the warranty.

Empire Axe I'd like to start off by saying, THIS IS THE VERY BEST MARKER FOR THE PRICE. This marker performs similar to all the high ends but at half the price. I have never had a chop oit of 20+ cases either!...

I have never had a chop oit of 20+ cases either! Hands down the best marker out there for the price. The ONLY thing I don't like is the appearance of the marker, it feels great in the hands but it just looks ugly to me
