I lucked out and got my Axe for a steal. I've only had it for a few months, but I've been extremely satisfied with it. I have mostly milsim guns, and it was time to put some money into speedball. With the axe, I enjoy the best of both worlds. I've found myself just using the axe for everything now.
I feel the axe is a great marker for the price, and believe that it can compete with just about anything. It shoots very smooth, it's reliable, and it's very easy to maintain.
The only negative thing I have to say about the axe is that some of the screws will loosen and could fall out if you don't regularly tighten them after games. That's why I gave it 4 stars in reliability.
As far as upgrades go, I have a J&J Edge Elite barrel kit, and a Lurker Eigen bolt. The stock barrel is average, and I just wanted something better. Same story with the Lurker Eigen bolt. If your cash flow is low, using the all stock axe will suit you just fine until you are ready to make upgrades.
I would highly recommend this marker. It shoots just as well as the markers you would 100's more for. You won't be disappointed with it.

Before i got my axe i used an ion, so it was a big difference. I fell in love with it the second i got it! so far there have been no problems what so ever and to me, the amount of shots it takes for me to run out of air makes it very efficient. i would definitely recommend this gun to anyone that asked me if it was a good buy or not.

This gun is really easy to take apart, re-lube, and then reassemble. Ive never chopped a ball with this gun. Shoots just as good as any high marker, it might weigh a few more grams but thats really the only difference. All it needs out of the box is a barrel kit.
If you really want it to shoot even better than it is stock, throw in the v2 boss bolt(25$). To make programming easier the shockwave board is now available for 26$.
Dont spend 1300 on a marker, there is no point anymore when you can buy the empire axe at 450.

Couldn't say enough about this marker. I just got back into the game after about a 5 year layoff from playing. Went to NPPL Chicago this year. Handled some of the guns and fell in love with this thing. It's super sexy. Its so light weight. Never chops. Whats not to like about it? I just cant wait for them to come out with some more upgrades for this thing. Like some grips, etc. I shoot mine with a Freak kit and love its consistency and accuracy. LOVE IT

Empire AxeThis is an awesome gun for the money. I have used many other high end guns in the past and this one keeps up with all of them.
