Alright, PBNation, this is my review on the 2012 Alien Invasion. I love mine so far, the feel, the shot, and the colors I have. But back to business, I took this bad boy straight out of the Gat Wrap, you get just for buying it. It was raining at Paintball Sports Park and there were some good teams out. With the first pod or two through the marker, there was some FSDO but it went away pretty quickly, I didn't have a single break all day and I shot more than a case. No problems all day, it even chrono'ed at a sweet 285, +/- 5 at most. But the pros of the gun are very obvious when you look at it, one I wasn't able to list was how big the grip is. Some of the bigger players at my field called it a "Big Man Grip" because they were able to fit three fingers under the trigger frame. The LPR on this marker also is not pointed like you would see on some Ego's. The Last Pro I wasn't able to list is the Sweep bolt system, it kept my paint in a decent cluster even in the rain. I was shooting Valken Infinity, not the best I know, but it shot good in the rain for me. Now onto the bad news for this marker, the Cons. The stock two-piece barrel that you get when you purchase this gun is not the greatest, it will get the job done, but I would recommend buying a new barrel. The trigger, it is really weird at first, but once you get a bag or two through the marker, the trigger is easily walked. The Board, comes stock in a Semi-Automatic mode, I'm not completely sure if it is capped at a certain BPS or not, but it is rather hard to understand because you have to go online and download the manual. One Con for me that wasn't a problem while playing for me, but it could be for you is the fact that right above the grip of the marker, the top where the LPR sits, is not rounded at all, it is a square and it is somewhat sharp and could easily cut you on a dive into Snake or Dorito. But all in all I would definitely take the time to pick one of these bad boys up. The pros definitely out way the cons on every level. The gun is light, smooth shot, comfortable in the hands, and easy to work with. Simply put, it shoots people.

Just bought my alien invasion yesterday completely on a whim. I've owned guns from just about every company known to man besides alien, but knew they have a pretty solid reputation. Went to the field today and could not be happier with my purchase. My invasion shot absolutely perfect all day, shooting straight as an arrow and had some great distance too. I shot through a case of paint and did not have to pull the squeegee out a single time during the day, no breaks whatsoever. Also, the gun was shot a few times and no paint crept inside the frame or feedneck or anything. The invasion is a very well built gun and probably one of my happiest purchases yet in paintball. For the price, the feel and the performance of the gun cannot be beat. I highly recommend this marker.

The gun is not the best looking gun in the world but what ever its a paintball gun. i just got done with the first d league event in san diego and it was raining and storming both days this gun was amazing it shot lazers all day even in the rain i have yet to break a ball. I only had to adjust the gun once in the morning and never again for both days and it was +- 5 all day long. When u get shot in the gun its easy to clean when getting ready for next match and oh yea the best thing is the lack of maitnence needed. plus if u have a issue just call jack rice he will walk u through the problem.

ive been on board with alien for the past year and my first gun was the 2010 indy. after picking up the invasion (just over half of the price of my indy) i set the indy in the closet. with the macroless design, the invasion is a very ergonomic gun. that however is where the diferences stop. same internals, ram, bolt and sweep valve as the indy that im used to and this gun is just about as smooth as the bigger brother. and for 600 bucks? are you kidding me?

got the gun from jack a few weeks ago. have never tried an alien marker so i figured i would give the invasion a try.the marker really impressed me. out of the box the marker feels well balanced. mounted my ninja lp 68/4500 tank, prophecy z2 and shot some paint thru it. even with the 693 bore it was surprisingly accurate. thru my bob long 685 barrel on it and the gun got quite. very smooth shooting. not as smooth as my g6r but really close. for the money there is no way u can beat the invasion. i have had eteks minis axe and the invasion is a much better gun. and ther cs is great.

Pros: Trigger, Macroless, Marq boards/eyes, Feedneck
Cons: Kinda Tall, Macroless(see review), 0.693 barrel
I had bough an 08 nd that I eventually traded for a 2011 invasion last year. I had some issues with it that were found out to all be from a shorted out hater board. Jack replaced the board and I sold the Invasion right after due to financial reasons. Well just recently surfing the forums I find it up for sale and had to pick it back up I guess it now has a virtue board in it, Jack possibly could have put it in but he told me he replaced the hater with another hater.

This was the gun I regret ever selling, it has a smooth kinda crisp shot. It seems kinda tall and maybe a little heavier than similar guns but the feedback is slightly recessed into the body so any hopper you use sits pretty low and the extra weight makes it so the gun doesn't feel like it's going to run away on ya.

I love that it's macroless and the foregrip is really comfy but in some ways I don't like the ASA/reg it's not a true on/off even though it's not hard to unscrew a tank at all and it kinda doesn't flow with the rest of the gun but I still like it more than empires relay.

I also don't like that the stock barrel back is .693 seems way bigger than needed(.689 would be fine for most paint) but you can purchase an optional barrel back kit from Jack to remedy that also the stock back can be freak bored so that works too.

It uses marq eyes and boards so if yours doesn't have an OLED board you can upgrade down the line also Jack made or had made OLED compatible alien grips for the invasion. The hater led board worked alright and same for the virtue led, I don't know if I will be able to justify the $180 to have OLED.
