I am not sure what else I can add that's not been said by the previous reviewer, Pump Scout, other than the fact that one might want to get the right bore sized barrel in order to avoid ball roll outs after cocking the Trracer. The detent only prevents ball stacking. The right bore size barrel adaptors like the iFit/Freak system does wonders in preventing ball roll outs.
I must say its a very accurate marker. On my first game, I took out 4 players with an average of 3 - 4 shots per person. The cocking mechanism is a little stiff but you get used to it. Efficiency is also pretty good. I used a Ninja 13/3500 at 3000psi and I shot approximately 150 balls with one fill.
Overall, an excellent pump marker for the money. I was using the Primo hopper, a Barska red dot scope and a Dye Ultralite barrel with an iFit adaptor.

The Empire Trracer is the modern reincarnation of the old PMI Trracer. While the internals stayed the same (why change a good thing?), everything else has been modernized. Starting with the Cocker threaded 14" .688 bore stock barrel, which is great for standard balls as well as First Strike rounds, we're off to a good start. The pump handle accomodates most Cocker barrels I've tried, to include a Freak, DYE Ultralight, J&J hard chrome from a hundred years ago, etc. The only barrel I have that didn't work well was my Apex, because the tube length is too short to get a pump stroke.
The pump handle also features Picatinny rails top and bottom. These are great for lights, foregrips, sling swivels, iron sights, or mounting a small optic forward in a "scout" setup. The grip frame is similar to the SA17 pistol, and has a mechanical safety. Palm swell grip panels aid in the nice feel of the .45 type frame. The gun features an anti-double pump mechanism, but if you encounter a rollout, simply put the safety on, hold the trigger back, and repump the gun. An Ego-style finger detent sits at the bottom of the receiver.
The feedneck is the BT type rail mount, and is a nice clamping model. Great touch for a lower-priced gun! This also allows for mounting the SA17 tube magazine, or future developments. The receiver itself also features a long Picatinny rail. Part of the rail is required for the feed system, but there is plenty to add an optic near the back. Additionally, the breech is precut to accept First Strike rounds.
Toward the rear is the ASA. To keep the price down, the Trracer is a back bottle gun, as the original was from the factory. A simple adaptor can be added to run an air line down to the bottom of the grip. This greatly helps in shouldering the Trracer.

It’s what I expected for a $120 trracer. It shoots just like the old ones or my hammer P. Doesn’t shoot as well as the sniper/cocker clones but I found it to lighter than my black magic pump and easy to use.
I like the mil/sem rails on it. Picatinny rails let you change the look and feel of the gun without and modifications.
The First Strike, rounds will fit in the breach but I found it cumbersome to load and nearly imposable to do so with the elbow on the gun. Don’t by it for the First Strike capacity just yet. We need a mag adapter and then it will be a truly awesome pump.
I’m running one with Freak system. CP drop forward with + remote adapter and macro line to mount a tank on the bottom of the handle. My empire prophecy loader, yeah over kill, but the detent is strong enough to hold back the force feed hopers. Good set up for open speed ball.
Its nice shooting little gun and it will most likely be the pump in my gear bag for a long time.

I bought my PMI Tracer used from Carter's Commandos @ EMR Paintball Park. I used it during the Pumper's Pandemonium game, and have since fallen in love. Armed w/ a 12-oz. CO2 tank screwed into the ASA, and stock everything else, this is almost as simple as a paintball gun gets. The fact that all you have to do is hold the trigger down & pump it in order to shoot was a blast. Who knew you could churn through half a case of paint with a silly little pump like this? I certainly didn't. Here I thought that pumps used less paint than semis! I'm thinking I'm going to have to put a Revy on this thing just to keep it fed!
5/5 Stars for making paintball fun again!

I can't complain too much since I won the gun in a raffle but the only thing that bugged me was that the whole gun is made of a cheap feeling plastic. The pump action isn't the greatest but the gun sure does shoot well. Would be very easy to customize and upgrade all around.

I bought my trracer from a seller on PBN a few months back and have only gotten to use it twice. Playing with the gun was great, though the first thing you invest in will probably be a new barrel. It fed reliably, shot well, and was fairly accurate. There were only a couple of times I though "dang, I could have made that shot with a Freak on here"
My major gripe and a major reason I haven't played in several months is that the screw that holds in the front of the grip frame just decided that it no longer wanted to hold on. The threads of the hole on the gun are stripped out, and I have no idea how.
Other than the possibly low quality body, I like the gun a lot. 4/5 just because the grip frame screw hole stripped out.

Empire TrracerI don't play pump so I'm not a great candidate here but I enjoyed using the trracer. Worked well and smooth for the price.
