This is a great marker for the beginner- it was the second marker I bought and I still have it after 5 years. Spyder markers have an incredible amount of upgrades available, even after they have been not as popular since the Ion came out. This gun is great for people wanting to take it to a higher level, but are still in the "novice" category. These are also great project guns as there are a multitude of home projects you can do to increase speed, reliability, efficiency, and overall performance. I recommend this marker to anyone who wants to get a good gun for a great price!

This was my second gun, and I kept it as a backup marker, as my matrix was finiky and unreliable. With a lot of adjusting and just a few upgrades it quickly became one of my favorite guns. Definetly worth the value, and a great gun to mess with because it is easy to reassemble. Also can make it very effective with some adjusting.

I don't even know how people have problems with spyders, aside from questionable quality control nowadays. But 4 yrs ago, they made some good guns. And this was one of them.
First setup was this, stock, w/ a 12v revvy & a/s co2 tank, using all sorts of RPS rec grade paints (super swirl, big ball, "premium"). The E99 was one of the most reliable guns i've ever owned. Out of the box, i didn't have any chopping problems. The revvy was a good match for it & the anti-siphoned tank also helped. Can't remember how fast it went through air, since one of the first things i did was concentrate on efficiency upgrades.
Ran it stock for nearly a year before my cousin handed down some of his old spyder upgrades, namely an AKA Lightning bolt & Tornado valve kit. I noticed an immediate difference. Shortly after that, i picked up a Torpedo reg, a higher flowing va (forget the brand but it was angled - not Trinity, because they didn't exist yet) and an Equation barrel, which used inserts.
With the reg, internals & new va, i got the operating pressure down from the stock 800-ish psi to around 500 psi. My god, that thing was the sweetest spyder ever (without making it a spimmy). Sold it over a year ago to make room in my gearbag for bigger, better things, but i still miss the ol' girl. It never let me down.

Kingman Group Spyder E-99I've had two or three of these and they all had some sort of flaw and none worked properly. Big waste of money.

Kingman Group Spyder E-99Will shoot straight if you put a decent barrel on it. Super easy to work on, one pin and the whole bolt assembly comes out. Firing modes are semi, 3 round, 6 round, full auto, 13 bps.

I got a used one not too long ago and have used it a few times. The gun shoots nice, but with the stock barrel it will curve a bit. It isn't too heavy, even with a full tank and hopper. The gun is pretty loud, scared me the first time I used it. It shoots pretty hard and I had to turn down the velocity a bit for my local field. It also is quite easy to disassemble and put back together. Make sure you use an electronic hopper, because shooting full or too fast on semi with a gravity-fed hopper will chop paintballs.
This is my first gun and so far it has worked for me. I give it a
