Pros: Light, price, eye pipe
Cons: none so far
I picked this marker up used with less then 1500 paint ball's through it. I love this gun. Uses the same regulator as some of the 1k dollar guns, Eye pipe is amazing even tho I have yet to break a ball. Its very easy to take apart to clean and the O rings are all color coded so theres no guessing if you have to replace one. I really like the fact that the 9v battery can be put in on either side altho I do wish they marked positive from negative a little better. The Asa is verry easy to use and self bleeds to a point. The gun seems to do pretty well on air and I can usually get several games out of a 45/3000. The gun has a slight recoil but not enough to effect game play and to be the gun is pretty quiet.

Pros: light, feels good in your hands, UL frame
Cons: a little loud and a little bit of kick
Strait from the box you don't have to do anything to the marker. The feed neck works great (same one as they use on the NT's i think). Comes with a Hyper 3 reg so your not going to have any problems with consistently. The marker comes with a ultra light frame so it feels good in your trigger hand. Its packaged with a nice case with a set of colored replacement o-rings also a set of allen keys that you will need for the marker, Dye lube, barrel bag. Easy breakdown for cleaning and lubing. The eye pipe is amazing and a great idea from dye, no screws to lose for eye covers, simple cleaning and easy replacement. The asa has on on/off knob which is a easy half turn. 4 modes on the board are easy to change. (semi psp melli and full auto). Comes with an anti bolt stick setting in which you can turn on or off. Playing on the field it is a tad loud, not a big issue tho. Also the gun has a little bit of kick. With good paint the gun will shoot nice and clean with very good accuracy. My set up is the Reflex with a 68/45 ninja tank a rotor and a freak 14inch.
With the gun being fairly new, there isn't to many upgrades and accessories but with time im sure they will be available.

Pros: UL grips
Cons: Most everything else
I have a 2010 PMR and it is a decently smooth shooter since it is well broken in. Over all I like the PMR pretty well. Getting the bolt out is a pain and the manifold o-ring getting cut is always annoying. The Reflex is supposed to replace the PMR and fix the PMR's quirks. So I bought one to find out. First off getting the bolt out is a lot less painful than the PMR bolt. Make sure to turn the bolt cap no more than 3 turns or you will unscrew the bolt can halves which makes getting the bolt out a LOT harder. Having said that, pulling the bolt still isn't easy. I have a Drone DX and the bolt will almost fall out in your hand after taking off the back cap. Proto has apparently gone with the idea that "ridiculously tight fitting is best". Comparing the PMR and Reflex bolts shows that Dye effectively fixed the manifold o-ring problem and did nothing else. Other than minor length differences the PMR and Reflex bolts are identical which explains why they shoot identically. As usual Dye/Proto have great frames and triggers. I really like the UL frame. I wish I could retro fit one onto my Drone. LOL. The trigger is identical to my PMR and works very smoothly. I have adjusted it a couple of times to improve walking, but I can't complain about it's function at all. As usual Dye boards are not the easiest board to program and then review your settings. The hyper 3 reg is a good reg and always has been so no complaints there. I wish Dye/Proto hadn't added the removable parts to the gun body. They serve no purpose except to snag on stuff, fall off or get scratched up. Keep the fru fru stuff for your nick nack cabinet! I bought a Dye reg tester so I could make sure to NOT blow up the solenoid which Dye is notorious for. I chrono'd my DP G4, PMR, Reflex and Drone all to 280 fps. All the guns are using the factory dwell settings and same paint/barrel/bore match. I then pulled the regs on each one and measured their output pressures.

Here's the results:
DP G4 - 200psi (efficiency - 6+ pods)
PMR - 180psi (efficiency - 7+ pods)
Reflex - 185psi (efficiency - 6+ pods, might get better with use)
Drone DX - 95psi (Woot!!! efficiency - 8+ pods)

Considering that the Reflex costs as much as the Drone I assumed that it would operate something close to the same pressures...NOT!!! This of course explains a few other things. I'm used to being able to give the Drone bolt a little flick and the bolt pops out the end of the can. The Reflex bolt has to be pulled out by hand and the PMR bolt considering it has been shot a lot will pop out with a good flick. Clearly Dye hasn't figured out how to machine their parts to the precision that Macdev does. I have a second Drone that has less than 1000 shots on it and the bolt pops out with a small flick. The 2 piece UL barrel is nice and well made. The case is OK, but the Macdev cases are way better. The tool set, o-rings and lube are good. The ASA is identical to the PMR and works well. It would be nice if the hose came out the front of the ASA. I'm not a fan of the plastic eye pipe. I have heard of a lot of people breaking the pipe by snugging down their barrels. It's not a bad idea to separate the eyes from possible blockage by broken paint, but cheap plastic? Geez Dye get a clue! If you are going to eliminate eye covers which I like, at least come up with a solution that isn't a complete piece of garbage. That and how often do you really foul up your eyes? Laser eyes would have been a better idea and there would have been no need for the eye pipe. Oh wait! Macdev has laser eyes stock!

Pro's:
1. Bolt servicing is less painful than the PMR
2. Clamping feed neck - about time Dye!!!
3. UL frame and trigger - NICE!
4. UL barrel - great 2 piece barrels
5. Hyper 3 reg - Very nice

Cons:
1. Add-on parts to the body that serve no purpose other than to fall off, get scratched up or snag on things
2. Plastic eye pipes are flimsy and break too easily
3. Programming and then reviewing your settings still sucks
4. No inline ASA on the 2011 Reflex
5. No innovation to make the bolt run at lower pressures or more efficiently

Conclusion: If you have a 2008-2010 PMR, keep it and don't get the Reflex. If you are looking to spend $550 on a new gun, get a Drone DX instead. If you are looking to buy any gun new or used in this price range, get the Drone and ignore everything else in its class. As is typical for Dye/Proto they rarely ever innovate. The Reflex is nothing new. A few small changes over the PMR and a new name and that's about it.

Cons: a little hungry for air
Guys!!! this is THE BEST gun in the $500 range on the market hands down...with things like a tooless clamping feed neck, on/off bleeding ASA, 2 piece proto's version of an "ultralight" barrel, eye pipe technology, all aluminum construction, and thats just what you can see on the outside...inside it has the same solenoid and the DM's, quick to clean and maintain and its 100% backed by dye/proto...just a great gun...you get TONS of gun for a awesome price....i give it only a 4 star in performance just due to the fact it is some what of a gas hog..but everyone has refills on air now-a-days

IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A TOURNAMENT READY GUN IN THE $500 RANGE...YOU JUST FOUND IT

Pros: Durable,accurate, two piece barrel
Cons: Look at Summary
Great gun, especially for the price. For some reason one time I shot about 100 paint balls and they went all over the place, but after that it shot fantastic for example, shooting across a whole entire paintball field the distant between a hopper's worth of paint was around a foot from the farthest two paint balls. I have put over 12 cases of paint through it and it works insanely. Easy to clean, take apart, program. Everything is great about this, definitely worth the money. The eyes also work great on this and are really easy to clean, same with ball detents. This gun has gotten me some good kills
