Im the type of person to buy a marker and then sell it a week later and i cant seem to give up my ego 11. its increadibly accurate and in comparison with most other egos it is very quiet. i have owned/played with almost every high end market that is currently on the market and this marker has it all. i gave up my nt before i would ever even think of selling my ego

Planet Eclipse Ego 2011 (Ego11) When in doubt, go with Planet Eclipse. When you have $1300, go Planet Eclipse. When you question if it is worth it, shoot an ego 11

I have been shooting Eclipse since 2006 and this is by far the best Ego made. Nearly no maintenance, shoot amazing out of the box and no upgrades needed. I am not going to get on a soap box and tell you that its the best marker ever and you shouldn't shoot anything else but for me I haven't found anything more reliable, robust or stylish that fits my needs.

After playing paintball for two years, and evolving through the sport as anyone who spends time & money playing paintball regularly will do, I finally decided to plunk down my money for one of these markers.

Boy, was I in for an eye-opening experience.

Previous markers - Invert Mini, Ego 9 SL94, ETEK3 AM, ETHA, CCM Phantom

I still own everything but Invert Minis (I had 5 at one time).

Out-of-the-box experience:
1. Attached tank
2. Attached Rotor
3. Attached 2-piece Shaft4 barrel, grabbed Stiffi JoyStik for comparison
4. Filled Rotor 3/4 full
5. Let 'er rip half the hopper

Damn, this gun shoots butter-smooth with no adjustments. Very little kick if any noticeable. Shaft4 barrel shoots nice and tight groupings, the best that any of my markers have ever shot. Swapped barrels, and the Stiffi's shot groupings were just about the same as the Shaft4. No noticeable difference in sound signature either.

Other than feeling a puff of air from the reg every shot, the marker isn't very loud at all comparatively.

Pros:
1. Adjustable solenoid, POPS, angled macro fitting on reg
2. Minor adjustments only to get marker into ready state
3. Shoots like a dream
4. Maintenance is simple, almost the same as any stacked-tube marker

Cons:
1. Be willing to pay hefty price
2. Still using the Cure3+ bolt as stock part; why not put the Cure4 in all "new" markers now instead of the Cure3+, or perhaps include the Cure4 in the parts kit? Oh yeah. It's a money-making enterprise.
3. Other markers may offer similar features at a substantially lower cost, but - you get what you pay for.

This is by far the most amazing marker that I have owned. It is very lightweight, compact, easy programming, and shoots like butter. The only downside I can think of is it being more pricey. I am dissapointed that they are not making the ego 12. But this is an amazing gun if you have the money for it I HIGHLY recommend it

The Ego 11 is just what you would expect out of the ego lineup, everything about this gun is near perfect. It is a great shooter right out of the box. Though many people praise the POPS, I feel that isn't much of an upgrade from the OOPS. Other than that this gun is perfect.
