Well I got my pants along with my team when they first came out in 2005. They were my first paintball pants so I was kind of excited, but I have used these pants for 5 years now so I can truly tell you what they are like.

Appearance - They don't look like anything special. They come in a few different colors however there isn't much to them aside from a little design down the side. They do however have pockets for me to hold stuff I may need such as Allen Keys and such, as well as a battle swab pocket on each side. This enables the user to place the swab on the opposite to their dominant shooting hand. They also have vented inner thigh areas and vent holes near your knees. This is perfect for playing on hot/humid days.

Comfort/Performance - These pants are really comfortable. They are lightweight and have smooth, soft fabric on the inside. Another thing is that they don't get heavy when wet nor do they get covered in mud. They have very few seams so they do not accumulate heavy mud and their thin design doesn't hold water. You will never have these pants falling off when you play in the rain. However, this thin design also has its drawbacks, which include lack of padding and protection. The thin aerated upper half of the pants gives almost no protection above the knee, aside from the areas in the front and back where you have pockets. So, being shot in these areas can be painful and won't produce bounces. I don't know about everyone else but my inner thighs and crotch are tender, so more padding would be better. The knees are also poorly padded, despite a thicker material that has never ripped like some other pants do, there is almost no padding for your knees. I know a lot of people purchase knee pads anyways and some back players don't dive leading them being less important. But, I have hurt my knees countless times in these pants, and refuse to buy knee pads, so it's a big turn off. They do get a lot of bounces below the knee which can be crucial in snake if your legs hanging out a little. Next, the Velcro ankle adjustments get on my nerves sometimes. My pants are a tad too long and they fall below my heel when I run and sometimes trip me up. The Velcro adjustments on the ankles are poorly made and do not accommodate thinner legs. There is very little adjustment room and I pull them tight enough that only part of the Velcro grabs. By the end of the day the rest of the Velcro fills with dirt and becomes unusable. Finally, the pull string belt isn't my favorite compared to other types on the market. There are plenty of better ideas out there for adjusting your waist size but the round draw string on these pants isn't one of them. It comes loose a lot and is difficult to tighten as far as I would like.

Reliability - Well after 5 years of intense use the only problem I have come across is a slight tear in the seam near my left knee. I have beat these pants up day in and day out and they have only had one defect that could easily be sewn back. I play snake so I dive, crawl, and slide all over the field every game, as well as some woodsball where I' running through thorns and the like. So, these pants definitely took the best I could throw at them.

Price - I didn't pay retail but I would have to say they are worth the price. They are the same or cheaper than most pants out there and they will last forever. Rather than paying for 3 pairs of pants in 5 years you can get 1 pair of pants and use some of your savings to purchase knee pads and some padded slide shorts to protect your special place.

Despite them being very old now and probably very difficult to find I would recommend them to someone on a budget who wants pants that will last. They work in the woods because they come in plain black color so as not to seem so flashy. Not the best looking pants but definitely light, comfortable, and durable.

I take great pride in my reviews and I spend time editing, spell checking, and making sure I include all I know to help the reader. Please read before you rate and rate truthfully, ENJOY!
