This barrel is light, quiet, cheap and when undersized shoots clean quickly. I no longer shoot a dye ultralite and have stocked my gearbag with these. The only real con would be that I don't think they look too great.

Pros: Porting, weight, bore sizes
Cons: None really, its just a tube like any other barrel
This barrel shoots the same as any other barrel out there. The excellent porting does reduce sound signature however, and it is the perfect balance in weight IMO vs. overly heavy stock barrels and overly light CF barrels.

The small bore size (.678) that it is available in is great for underboring the increasingly small paint that is found nowadays or having the medium bore (.684) as a "set it and forget it" option for shooting ANY paint reliably. I suppose paint that was running large to begin with and then is swollen by humidity might be the only kind too big for it, but we don't really get that in the great white north so I can't say for sure, but any stock barrel should shoot that fine.

I will say that the comments on this barrel not shooting through breaks seem bogus to me. All aftermarket barrels have nearly identical finishes on them, and I have not seen any difference in how fast a break clears from the Eigenbarrel vs. any other.

I am always told to pick up a furious. Im not saying furious doesnt make great barrels, because they do. but for the price of the lurker i would highly recommend it. When i could use it (its cocker threaded and i shoot a luxe and dont use my backup to often) it was comparable to every barrel on the market. Buy one!

I bought this barrel to use with my 2005 Superstock Pump. I got the .678 to help prevent roll outs, and also because the paint in my area is tiny. So far, it has performed flawlessly. The interior finish on the barrel is perfect and for $40, you won't find a better barrel.

I was a big fan of single bore 1 piece barrels back in the day, and I am glad that companies still make them. I was lucky enough to buy one used off of the nation, and have used it on multiple guns over the past year. Aside from in being a good deal, I have found that it is very accurate, even old dimpled paint comes out relatively straight.

Cons: Only available in single piece models
I'll be honest here. I hadn't heard of Lurker's EIGENBARREL line until recently as I was looking into options for my newly acquired AXE. After seeing a lot of feedback in PBN's Empire forum I decided to give it a try and picked up both current models.

Lurker barrel's are marketed as designed for Underbore. I'm not going to get into that, as there's TONS of info on benefits/etc of Underboring. So they only have two options available.

I decided to go with the Dust versions as it sort of matched the Axe coloring.

As I took it to the field the first thing I noticed right away was the sound. I was underboring about .05 (GI Field 689 paint on the 684 barrel) and it had a very quiet sound signature to it. It was a fairly impressive change from the stock barrel I had used prior.

Secondary the efficiency did take a little bump, but take that with a grain of underboring salt as most likely taking another solid barrel with the same sizing would have been similar.

All in all, though, for 39 bucks it's a very solid deal if you need new barrels and not only do they perform well, but they sound great. They're made well, and ship quickly.

Enjoy.

Pros: It's a Lurker
Cons: Not a one
As fare as one piece barrels go, I only use one. The Lurker, I have had at least one since they came out. The one I have had the longest is the first one I ever bought. It is my go to barrel. I have tried just about all of the barrels on the market and to my ear the Lurker is hands down the quietest I have ever shot. Light weight, great quality and surprisingly rugged.
