I have had my Vice for 3 months now and I have been in love with it. It has been the nicest marker I have shot to date, and that says a lot. I have pretty much shot any marker you can name.

Anyway...The Vice is IMO one of the greatest values on the market today. It easily competes with any marker out there, and will outperform most of them.

Here are my thoughts on specific aspects of the Vice:

Appearance:

I think it looks beautiful. It has very nice milling, and the smooth contour makes the marker very comfortable to hold. Overall there isn't anything I would change about it's looks.

10/10

Features:

The Vice, at $750 brand new, is decked out as well as any $1,000+ marker. It has the Tadao M8 Ryujin board standard, which is a pefect stock board. One advantage this board has over the stock Protege board is that the grips DO NOT have to be removed to change settings on the Vice. There are no dipswitches on the Vice board.

The Vice also comes standard with the pillow bolt (a huge upgrade over the Protege bolt), and the BL clamping feedneck which sits very low.

The Vice shares it's trigger with the Protege, and this is one of the only complaints I have. The trigger has a great shape and is very easy to walk, but it is not as adjustable as I would have liked. There is no pre-travel set screw. The only adjustment points are micro switch contact point and back stop. This is only a minor set back however.

9/10

Efficiency:

This, aside from the 07 Cyborg (which has similar efficiency numbers), is the most efficient marker available. If properly tuned expect 2000+ shots from a 68/45. Personally, I use a 45/45 and I expect approximately a hopper and 8 pods or so off a full fill. So obviously the efficiency is amazing.

10/10

Speed/Shooting:

I don't need to say much here. The Vice is as fast as you will ever need. It is capable of shooting 26+ bps. And while shooting the Vice remains very smooth and quiet. MUCH quieter than any Ego, and I would say the Vice is just a tad louder than most spoolers.

And the Vice DOES NOT BREAK PAINT. IT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO!

The only issues that will arise are from bad paint. Bad paint = Bad results.

10/10

Consistency:

The stock reg on the Vice (which is the same as the Marq series, and the Protege) is one of the best. The only possible upgrade would be an AKA 2 liter. When I first used my Vice, the consistency (using stock barrel with V1 paint that was highly overbored) was +/- 7 or so. This was very good IMO. After shooting a few more cases through the Vice, and changing to a Sly barrel kit for better paint to bore match, the consistency was closer to +/- 3 or 4. Not perfect, but definitely sufficient.

9/10

Reliability/Maintenance:

Like all Intimidators the Vice is very reliable. I have not had an issue with my Vice yet. Yous simply perform the regular maintenance (which is very similar to an Ego) and you're good to go for up to 10 cases of paint. The maintenance requires you to remove the bolt and ram, then oil the bolt, and put some Dow 55 on the ram. You can use Dow 33 or a similar lube, but it is not recommended because Dow 55 swells the o-rings to ensure a better seal.

10/10

Recommended Upgrades:

First of all I must say that 'THIS MARKER DOES NOT NEED ANY UPGRADES!'

But if you want the maximum performance out of your Vice here are a few things I recommend.

4 Eyes: Work very well to improve the consistency of strings in semi. They also help to time the marker to the loader and you will never break paint.

Trigger: I used a POWER Saber trigger, and it was excellent. All personal preference.

Grips: I recommend Dark Seoul grips or Stinger grips because they are very thin, and they are smooth all around. The stock grips have a small edge on the back that bothered my hand.

Gear/Cam drive ASA: I just recommend any on/off ASA because the Vice does not come stock with one. Any will do, but BL makes the best.

Overall:

Buy a Vice and be done with it. IMO it is a pure-bred Ego-killer. It has all the benefits of Ego's for hundreds less. PM me if you need more info.

Cons: feedneck, regulator
i got one of these guns a little while back. My first impression was "WOW." Immediately I fell in love. it was so easy to clean and did everything i asked it to day in and day out. its accuracy it so good its hard to believe its a one piece barrel. its weight it very impressive (coming from a shocker). the speed i was able to achieve with this was also amazing (not bouncing). the Ryujin board that comes stock was also a very nice feature as it rivals upgraded aftermarket boards. my only complaints about this gun was that it came without an on/off, the regulator become a little too inconsistent for my taste, and the feedneck proved to be garbage in my opinion. for 750 i expected an on/off. this was a simple fix, but i was a little disappointed. the regulator started to fail me after about 6 months of use. after cleaning it several times i decided to change to a CP reg which has worked well ever since. The feedneck was the biggest disappointment. I have never been a fan of the ego style feednecks. it showed signs of cracking after a few weeks of use and eventually had to be replaced after breaking.

overall i was happy with this marker. for the price it just cant be beat. it run with all of the other highend guns for almost half the price. the only reason i switched back to a DM was because i am a spool valve kind of guy. I would recommend this to almost anyone.

This gun is an ego killer...
Our team is sponsored by Bob Long and I have owned the Closer, Rapper and Marq6. Honestly, the Marq series guns are not as reliable compared to the Vice... the Marqs are harder on balls and I have shot over 10 cases of paint thru the Vice with no chops or problems. I currently practice on a dirt field and have played twice in the rain with the Vice and have been very impressed with it's performance.
I have owned ton's of guns and shot the ego 06, sl66, ego 07, ego 08 and SL74. The Vice feels lighter and has a tighter feel compared to any ego... DM7's and Ego's feel heavy compared to the Vice.
It is also much more quieter than any ego and very air efficient... I get 5 pod and a hopper off a 48/4500 with about 2,500 psi remaining. I played with an Ego 07 for all of last season the Vice is just as reliable and efficient.

The Vice is by far one of the best guns I have shot.

I've mostly shot spoolers but this is so much easier to maintain than a spooler and require much less lubing, after 4 cases all I have done is lube the hpr. Also the 4C is really not needed I have yet to have a chop or break.

I bought my Vice about a month ago brand new off of ebay. Upon it's arrival, it had a bad leak from the LPR, and after talking with a tech at BLAST for nearly an hour, and changing and doing everything he recommended, I sent the gun in.

At this point i was fairly bummed out, and was seriously thinking about selling the gun when it got back. I was quickly surprised however when it only took the Vice a week to get back to me (i had to ship it to California, and I live in Kentucky). The leak was fixed, and a piece of paper was included saying what the problem was. Turned out it was a faulty poppit from the factory, and not o-ring damage. I played with the Vice that weekend, and was so surprised by it. I use to own an 08 Ego, and this gun is seriously better in every way except for that it has no LCD screen.

PROS
+Amazing Efficiency (I got around 1,750 shots on a 68/45 on my first time out)
+Reliable (leak from the factory is rare)
+Easy to maintain (lube the ram with dow 55 and bolt with triflow every once and a while)
+Looks
+Weight (as light or lighter than my 08 Ego)
+Great customer service

CONS
-Does not come with an on/off asa

Overall this is an amazing marker, the best I have ever shot, and I am a big time gun trader. Considering its $500 cheaper than an 08 Ego, I don't see why everyone is not shooting these. Good job to BLAST

Cons: loud, clanky
I love this gun. It's one of the best guns I have ever used. Let's start with pro's.

Pro's:
Smooth: This is one of the smoothest's gun's I have ever owned. Shooting ropes has never been easier. You kind of lose track of how fast your shooting.

Efficient: this gun is extremly efficent. I got about 1200 shots out of a 45/45 which is amazing. It's still not the most efficient marker on the market but for the price, it's amazing.
Reliable: This gun is incedably reliable. This gun has never once chopped paint even when it's shooting the britlest paint. As long as you take care of this gun well, it'll take care of you.

Maintence: this gun requires regular maintence. Not to much but still some. Just clean and lube the bolt after everyday of play and the lpr and hpr once in a while.

Trigger: I absolute love this trigger. Its one of the best triggers I have used behind my quest. I find myself hitting 20-21 on semi which is amazing.

Grip frame: the grip frame on this gun is big. Its not huge by any standard but its not to small to limit your bps.
Bolt: the bolt is great and doesn't have many o rings. The bolt is easy to remove from the back. The pillow is so gentle on paint. It never breaks any paint in any temperature.

Apperance: the look of this gun is not as nice as the marq in my opinion but is still nice. It looks a lot nicer then the protege.

Barrel: the assasins barrel that comes with the gun is great. It would increase your accuracy if you get a new barrel like a sly but in my opinion, not nessacary.

Wieght: this gun is very light and is perfectly balanced with almost any setup.

Con's: the only cons of this gun is how loud it is. It's a pretty loud gun and it has this wierd clanky sort of sound. Nothing to bad considering that I really don't care about loudness but the clanky sound can be very annoying.

Kick: this gun also has quite slot of kick. I think mine just needs to be broken in, but for now, it's a lot.

Conclusion: this is an amazing gun for the price. After your done reading this sentence go and buy one, you won't be disapointed. -rockingthequest

GREAT gun!

I've owned an 07 ego *dual qev'ed* which is a similiar style gun. This gun is as fast, reliability has been good thus far (no qev diaphrams to replace like ego), less kick than an ego (kicks more than a spool), quieter than an ego (a good amount louder than a spool).

Overall for the price, I do not expect the 4c eyes...maybe an on/off but I understand bc of the price these things were left out. Just get these as an upgrade and you are set.

The 07 ego has a big plus because of the LCD display, so you can get a Tadao Yakuza if you want an LCD.

i got the first black vice before they even became available from art mendoza of rage.this is the most efficient gun that i have ever had, more efficient than any ego that i have had. the only egos i have never shot are the sl series guns.i just under 2 lbs it is one of the lightest guns on the market.i just put the low pressure valve on the gun and it made the gun much more impressive. hardly any noticeable kick, softer sound signature, and was able to lower the inline pressure from 220 psi to 160psi. there isn't any stacked tube marker that can run that low of inline pressure.the ego can as low as 180 psi w/ there lp valve but thats it.for 750.00 you can't beat that deal.this gun shoots just as good as any 1200.00 dollar gun available,is the most efficient gun available,(over 2000 rounds w/ lp valve)and is real sexy.

Hey just here to give a quick review,
i love this gun and the only reason i gave it four stars on reliability is becasue i havent used it long enough to know yet
i paid 675 which for me is A LOT! but you do get what you pay for, its fast, clean, and accurate
I have the 4 eyes upgrade which really helps (I"d reccomend it) and i just flat out love to shoot it
Now my only complaints, the on-off button is a very thick coated rubber so you have to press it really hard to turn on the marker
only other complaint is that it doesnt come with an on-off asa, its not a necesity but just a convenience, oh well what can you do
that wraps it up for me, now im gunna go play! see ya everybody and thanks for reading
