I think these are actually 2010 Valken Pants, they didn't have a 2009 line. But anyway...

When i first got em, i was concerned with how thin the material felt but after playing in them, i'm glad they're thin because they're light. And durable enough so far.

Generous knee padding, it covers a lot even if the padding isn't centered on your knee (which happens when running, sliding, etc). Appropriate padding for the man bits.

Zippered pockets hold various goodies nice & secure (i like keeping my wallet on me when playing). Also has squeegee pockets, although i rarely carry them (hooray for shooting thru breaks!). Miss having back pockets but those don't serve much use on the field.

Adjustable waist straps + belt loops but the straps hold it up good enough for me. Bunjee cords on the leg cuffs to tighten but i don't quite like how it's set up, where the cord is a full loop & the excess cord is held up on the side with a little tab. I prefer the cords on Dye/Proto pants, where the ends of the cord hang free.

The legs are a bit too wide for me, which i suppose serves its purpose but it feels weird. Another preference i had with Dye/Proto is the legs aren't as wide so it felt more comfortable moving around, like wearing regular pants.

The tribal design is a bit overdone but it's still done well on these pants. It's not too crazy.

The value is pretty high, considering the only thing that separates these pants from Valken's top line is the kind of knee padding (Redemption has kevlar, these Crusade pants just have really buff nylon) & the designs.

Valken Sports Crusade 09 Pants These are pretty good pants for the price. They could use a little more padding but other then that they are good.

These pants are great, and for a great price. They look impressive, and match the rest of my gear perfectly. The only complaint i have about them is that the knee pads are rather rough, and its a distraction if your used to playing with slider shorts or regular shorts under them.

Pros: durable, well-vented, comfortable
Cons: thin padding, no zippers for pockets
I've used them several times and they seem to hold up well. They're vented all over, and I definitely stay cool on hot days. There's stretchy material around the joints, so I can squeeze into bunkers as tightly as I need to.

I do, however wish the pockets had zippers or velcro to keep the contents from falling out. I haven't had much of a problem with it, but every now and then, I'll catch my wallet about to fall out. The padding is also thin, so if I plan on playing aggressively at all, I HAVE to wear knee pads or I'll be hurting later. Also, the color combinations are a bit.... loud....

Overall, they work great; but don't carry anything important in the pockets, and plan to wear knee pads. If you play in hot areas, the extra venting in the backs of the legs and groin make them perfect.

These pants are awesome, I am a HUGE fan of all things valken!

These pants come with everything any paintball player could ask for they are light and breathable, they have belt loops if you like to wear a belt, and if not they have great waist velcro strapdowns that are reliable enough that i just dont wear a belt. there are swab pockets on both legs as well

my only complaint would be a little more padding in the crotch, i havent taken a nut shot with these pants on yet, but i know when it does happen it WILL hurt.

Great product overall

These are very light and comfortable pants. They look pretty nice, and despite their low weight have been quite durable in the time I've used them.

The padding isn't what you would see in Eclipse or Dye pants, but then again they cost a fraction of what those do. Overall a great value, would definitely buy again.

Cons: zippers.
i have had my valken pants for almost two years now and i love them. they are the most comfy pants i have ever worn. they fit very nice and look great on the field. the only main concern with the pants are the zippers. the zippers will tend to get stuck on the liner of the pocket and it is very hard to remove the zipper. overall i love these pants and will keep wearing them until they fall apart.
