Out of the box this gun is a head turner, So far i have put 8 Boxes through it and all that has worn off is the paint on the grip frame and the black paint under the bolt on the power tube. This gun has a high rate of fire and barely brakes any balls, Its got hudge room for custom parts. If your into Milsim, This gun is for you.

Pros: Durable, Easy Maintenance, Tons of Mod Options
Cons: Has some problems in extreme cold temperatures
What can you say about Tippmann products that most people don't already know. This gun shoots great and is extremely durable. Its very easy to clean and needs little to no maintenance. Plus if your into the milsim scene, there are a rediculous amount of mods out there to make this gun your own. The only problem I ever had with this gun was during a cold start (30 degrees) to chrono my gun before a game. It chrono'd all over the place and shot very inconsistent. We're talking 20 - 30 fps difference per shot. Of course, once the day warmed up it got increasingly better. Didn't know it then, but found out spoolies can have trouble in extreme cold. Lesson learned. Given everything else, you can't beat Tippmanns customer service. They were always helpful everytime I had a question or needed a spare part. At the Fulda Gap Scenario game, Command Decisions Warfare Center, NC, I saw a guy bring his gun to the Tippmann tent and it wasn't even working. The Tippmann rep found the problem, fixed it and didn't even charge the kid. Hows that for customer service! Now that I've had more time in the sport, I've since moved up to Planet Eclipse markers. They're a more high end professional style marker, but for anyone new to the sport, I can't recommend Tippmans enough.

Pros: Great out of box
Cons: same price get a proto
I bought this for my first marker about 2 months ago. Out of the box I shot 500 rounds in my backyard. very smooth and feels like no recoil compared to the 98, which is my backup marker. The marker is extremely easy to disassemble. I played at a local field with this gun. everyone was using rentals so i did not turn on full auto. i did how ever turn on the response trigger setting. when i pulled the trigger at a fast rate the gun would skip a round or 2. mabey im firing too fast? anyway you will get about 2k rounds out of a 20ci co2 tank. i have not tried this for hpa yet. i will this w/e.

pros
Easy to use.
great for noobs
works with co2 and hpa.
looks cool.
mechanical and electro.
no need for a expensive hopper as the cyclone feed system works well.
almos no recoil.

cons
for 100 dollars less i could get a axe.
not good for speedball.
a little akward in my hands with the hpa tank on. (68/45psi empire)

or
the answer is
unless your going to play speedball events this marker is for you.

I enjoyed playing serval games with it. If there was more woods ball around our area I do believe this gun would be my first choose. Over all I would give this gun B+

Cons: Havent found any yet
I have had this marker for over year now...

First off I did upgrade all the internal parts with Tech T. This made the marker much much louder... I frequently get asked wtf it is lol... Or asked if I'm shooting over the allowed rate...

With the upgrades the marker is super reliable shoots smooth and I almost never get a ball break, If and when I do usually due to paint...

With all the Mods out there for it you can change the look of your marker any time you want... And have a marker completely original to you...

I love this marker if I went for a different marker over this it would have to be the DYE DAM and lets face it.... Im not going to spend no 1,3000 on a marker...

Cons: cyclone feed system chops paint when firing high b
Bought this as my first marker a few months ago used it primarily for bushball but used it in speedball a few times. It is definitely on the heavy side for speedball. The only real problem I had with this marker was the cyclone feed system chopped paints when you start hitting higher rates of fire. You could upgrade to the squishy paddles which I hear would solve this issue. If you want to customize the look of your marker you can do that with the x7 as well. Being able to switch from semi to full auto with the flip of a switch was a nice touch when laying down suppressing fire. I am a new player so I cant really comment on the actual specs but all in all was happy with this marker for playing recreational bushball.

My wife bought me an x7 phenom as our first anniversary gift, I had my eye on this gun for quite a while and was very excited to use it. I quickly learned what i liked about it and what i didnt. below is a list of pros and cons:

Pros:

Battery life- I would say it is above average, mainly due to the selector switch and the flexvalve technology.
Hopper- The cyclone hopper is an incredible and reliable piece of technology, after a while the stock plastic peices will likely need to be replaced, but it is a super easy fix. I would however suggest switching to squishy paddles because the stock paddles will not treat paint very well.
Upgrades- there are literally TONS of upgrades for this gun, you can make it looks like whatever you want it to, there are all different types of rails for it, there are tons of different shrounds, and tons of different buttstocks.
Reliability-If tippman is known for one thing its the reliability of their products, this gun is rugged, it can take damage and still perform, this kind of dependability is unrivaled.
easy velocity adjustment- the velocity adjustment is the easiest i have ever seen on any gun period.
Flexvalve technology- this gun can go from mech to electric with the flip of a switch, which allows for 2 important things, first if you get into a hairy situation, flip the switch to deal maximum damage, and when your not in trouble anymore flip it back to semi, to save batteries, second if you are in the middle of a game, and your batteries die, simply switch to semi and continue to play!

CONS
stock barrel- this is the worst thing about this gun, without question, the stock barrel will put paint in places you didnt know paint would go, an upgrade is HIGHLY suggested.
rough on paint- i have found that tournament grade paint and this gun do not get along very well, using mid t low grade is your best option.
heavy- i never thought this gun was heavy until i held a friends tm-15, the gun is heavy, which is lame, but at the same time that heaviness is part of what makes this gun as rugged as it is.

overall this is a great gun, the pros far outweigh the cons in my opinion, if your thinking of getting it i do not think you will be dissapointed.
