This is an amazing platform. Where the shoot is not as smooth as say a DM, the marker is compact, easy to maintain, and loads of fun to use. Some people complain that the NT would chop paint, leak, etc. Mine never chopped and only leaked once which a quick o-ring change stopped immediately. Easily in the top 5 guns ever owned!

I bought that gun 'cose I watched an advert - first thing - I must got them. When received bos with gun, open it and was so impressed. Nice milling, excellent trigger, easy to service, nice Dye soft case, legendary UL 0.688 and more and more, nest day went to woodsball game with my brand new NT to shoot some woods people - new paintballs and first shoot = huge disappointment - gun broking paints, decreased velocity to ~240 and stop breaking paintballs, increase = start leaking, ehh.borrowed from mate classis dm8. Next weekend, sunny sunday went to team's field to practice - again leaking. I sent gun to service, they changed noid,re lube, gun was shooting fine one day, next day again - leaking. OMG go to hell, never again NT.

Owned 3 NTs so far. Tech'd 2 of them to shoot almost as good as my Clone VX and sent 1 to Billy Wing to get modded. Totally worth it.

It shoots like a dream, I've never had it go down while playing and a great looking gun. I don't get why people hate on it saying how unreliable it is meanwhile I have yet to have a hiccup with mines.

My general maintenance is relube the bolt after a day of play and I'm set for next time!

Efficiency is not as good as a Clone VX but it has damn near no kick and shoots like any well-tuned gun should. I think this gun is DEFINITELY worth it and I've owned/shot a lot of guns out there...

Pros: Light, fast, efficient
Cons: Complicated maintenance and troubleshooting
After months of weighing my options (DM10 vs NT vs Ego 10), I took the plunge and got a used NT off the BST forums. It came essentially as any stock NT would from the factory and had all the updated components. I paired it with a Prophecy loader and Crossfire 45/45 HP tank. Out of the case, it was shooting right at 298-300 fps. (Tested with a grey hand chrono). I put 2-3 pods through it and other than getting used to the light weight, it was exactly what I was looking for.

A few days later, I finally got to use it on the field. Field paint was cheap DXS rec-ball stuff, but decent quality for what it was. At the chrono, even the refs were impressed with the consistency. First shot was 300, second was 299, third was 300, fourth was 300, fifth was 297...... I set the board to PSP mode and pretty much was good to go from there. I shot about a case an a half during the day and broke one ball (given the cheap paint, it could have been the hopper). It really was a head-turner too, getting everyones attention because it was pretty much stacking balls one on top of another.

My only complaint is that when I took it apart later that weekend, it was like looking at an IKEA computer desk with all the instructions written in Swedish. I haven't had any leaks or anything, but I can imagine chasing one down to be a task unto itself. That said, I'm sure with experience and time, that will not be an issue for long.

All in all, I consider the NT to be one of the most well refined and designed markers I've shot or owned. The size combined with the feel made it an incredible package that's hard to find fault in. If anyone ever asks me what's the best marker available, I will undoubtedly tell them "Get an NT. You won't regret it."

Great gun for the price. Easily picked up for around $500. I have read reviews where people called the lack of an LPR an issue but if you take the time to tune your gun it will treat you well. I have shot my NT in 14 degree New England weather without any issues. Not the sexiest of guns, but definitely a tank. Extremely light and extremely quiet.

Cons: Low reliability, high maintenance
I personally own an NT 10 and as much as I like it, there are some drawbacks and issues. First it have had multiple leaks which I have had to fix and as well I have had my bolt bumper fly off inexplicably (fps was below 300). Despite this, I greatly enjoy using the gun and it shoots ropes and is efficient.

Pros: My favorite gun body and trigger frame
Cons: Horribly inconsistant and finicky
I found a broken NT on eBay and decided to buy it and fix it up. Oh boy was I in for a treat.

After having it tech'd by Rocky Cagnoni you would think the gun would be good to go. A week later the solenoid starts leaking and decides it doesn't want to stop. Dye no longer has NT solenoids in stock so I had to go to a dealer and pay a $20 premium. In addition to the noid I also got many cosmetic replacement parts due to the old owners negligence.

After 3 months of battle I can say that this gun is rocking. I've shot Dye and Proto guns exclusively for most of my career and consequently developed a love for the Ultralite frame and brand in general. This gun fells better than any other DM/PM I've ever handled, including a DM14.

I'm already preparing for the next malfunction and stocking up on spare parts.

Well I got my NT for free so from the start Ive already won with this marker. But I must say that it never let me down once. I knew every time I played that I could pick it up and play without having to play with it to get it working right. The only thing you have to do is toss the color o rings and youre set. also my hands were way too big for her.

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f1...7-14155922.jpg

Picked up my NT in a 3-4-1. The gun is a very clean design. Aesthetically it is very smooth and pleasing to the eye. There are Dye jewels that stick out from the side of the gun body that tend to get ripped off after play. Having to replace those often would be complaint number 1 on this gun. The grip frame is the most comfortable I have ever held or shot. The screw-less grips are an amazing feature and it's one of those "duh" innovations. Duh, why haven't they done this before? The on problem I'm seeing more than quite a few people having with their NT is the back grip frame screw keeps vibrating loose and they end up taping over it so they don't loose the screw midgame. That would be complaint number 2 for me. Lock washers and properly lengthed screw standard with the gun maybe? The bolt kit for this gun is simple enough to learn the ins and outs of. If you can maintain a FUSE bolt kit, you won't have much of a problem adapting to this. I do recommend properly lubing this kit though. Not gooping on extra lube thinking it'll just make it's way through and out eventually. your NT will shoot like crap if it's overlubed. Not a complaint, just a warning. The eye pipe is an awesome idea and shouldn't go anywhere. The trigger could use some work though. It's a very customizable trigger, but there's side to side play and no roller bearings. Complaint number 3 for me, needs a more solid trigger. The gun came with a 14" standard .688 aluminum 2 piece UL. I understand the price would increase to reflect it, but a 2 tip, 4 back UL kit would be really nice for the most high-end gun Dye makes. If the gun is going for over $1200 brand new and is a "flagship" gun, shouldn't it be refined as such from the start? Don't get me wrong, this gun is a 9/10 in a world where legitimately the scale stops at 7/10. There's definite room for improvement, however tiny those improvements are. I do recommend buying a pressure tester before you really get into cleaning and lubing this gun.

That's all the complaints I'd have for the gun as it comes out of the box (or floppy cd case anyway). The gun performs perfect. 10/10. Out of the box. The hyper reg is extremely consistent and reliable. The user needs to really read and understand the insert/spacer system before dialing in the HPR over a chrono. This allows you to set the gun up for super efficiency or super silence/less kick.

The gun performs better than anything else I have ever shot, hands down. and I've been playing for 16 years and have shot a lot of guns. Having said that I did have those few complaints about this gun, but after all they weren't performance complaints and they were little complaints at that.

The aformentioned problems of chopping and such were related to parts that were recalled later on. It is rare to find an NT now without the updated parts.

Pros: accuracy, milling, quiet, no kick
Cons: maintenance, chopping, dye gems
I owned my Dye NT for a year before writing this review. The gun is definitely a keeper. Dye never fails at producing gorgeous guns year after year. The milling on the NT is very cool. However, the dye gems fall off very easily which is quite annoying if your picky about your guns looks.

As far as shooting the NT, it shoots great. The gun is very accurate, quiet, with minimal kick. Of course Dye guns will only shoot this way if they are lubed after EVERY day of play. Dye guns are very finicky on maintenance and have to be taken well care of. Another thing, the gun is very comfortable while holding and extremely light.

I have noticed that my NT chops every once in a while even with good paint. All in all I think the NT is definitely a great gun, but could use a little improvement. Also, don't plan on selling your NT back for what you paid for it. They do not hold their value very well on the market.
