Not a bad gun. The first time I played with it, the electronic trigger failed me. Still haven't quite figured that out yet. Other than that, there seems to be no real support for the gun from WGP. No upgrades. Taking all that into consideration, it is a great gun for the new player or someone on a budget. I would probably not reccommend it to a more seasoned player.

I'm gonna start out and say that this was a great starter gun! It's got everything you need to get started and depending on where you get it you can get it as a gun and hopper combo! Awesome when it works! However, mine came with a leak and since I was a noob I couldn't fix it.. and I used co2 and didn't know much about gun maintenance so an o-ring ended up breaking and I didn't find replacements. It's alright, only lasted me 5 uses probably, worked well when I had it...

This gun is kinda crappy. I got mine as a gift from my good friend on clearance ($67.25) as a backup gun for my Gen4E Timmy on rainy days playing woods-ball. Since it was free I thought Iíd give it a go.

Firstly this gun uses a magna driver. This part has more in common with a Tippmann 98 custom upgrade, (most of the gun does actually) than a true electronic marker such as a Bob Long, Dangerous Power or Planet Eclipse. The workmanship is shoddy for this component. There are all these shielded wires going to all the different components that are literally just stuffed inside the housing between the handle grip and the receiver that barely fit. I canít imagine this thing surviving a minute under water. The wires can potentially get in the way of the plate, and because it uses a magnetic return plate to initiate the sear, you canít truly semi-auto super-walk the trigger as you can initiate the micro-switch before the plate has returned to firing position. This results in you pulling the trigger before the sear has reset, and nothing happening. This is a safety feature, to protect the gunís components not the user I understand, but why have eyes then? Its design is simply foolish.

Secondly, high end components donít really make a difference. I tried a Custom Products V2 Inline HP Regulator and I couldnít even get the gun to fire (Truth be told the CPIHPR2ís are discontinued and it could have been a shoddy reg.). The only thing that comes to mind is that this gun is so white-trash-proprietary that high quality parts wonít work in it. The reason I tried to swap the regulator was twofold. Firstly I couldnít get it dialed up over 266 fps and every time I shot the thing it ranged between +/- 50Psi. I thought the issue was probably a busted regulator so I bought the CP, and that didnít work. The second problem is that the threading on the stock in-line puts the macro-fitting directly into the palm of your left hand if you are right handed, making firing the gun uncomfortable at best.

The accuracy is horrible, I did a quick barrel swap to my G4E Assassin thinking it would increase the performance, but it made almost no difference in its poor accuracy. I was using Evil paint as well, so it wasnít the paint. After about seven or eight shots itíd chop pretty consistently.

The feed neck is horrendous. It is a plastic double-screw clamp that very easily breaks. I have used the gun maybe eight or nine times (trying to get it to work) and the feed neck shows some pretty significant cracks as well as a spiderís-web of micro-fractures, and it hasnít actually even seen true play. My friendís broke when he took a spill with it, and said it was the best thing that happened to the gun, as it forced him to stop trying to play with it.

The manual is adequate for operation, but lacks in maintenance. There is very little in the way of how to disassemble the gun, and what the replacement parts are. I am glad that there is a manual of course, but I just think that they could have done a better job.

Lastly the explanation is there but it is not great, the gun is not really customizable because WGP/2K/Jaiden cancelled the WGP line and closed their spaces in 2008. Thusly there will never be any specific upgrades, or support, for this marker. Besides a blank feed neck, and having standard HPR and cocker threads, there is very little you can do to upgrade the gun. You can buy a regulator if you can get one to work. You could replace the ASA if you can find a rail system that would fit on the standard double screw, just so long as you provide long enough bolts, as the receiver uses nuts and not a threaded grip frame. Havenít tried swapping the eyes.

What I will say for the marker, is that it is a simple design, very easy to clean, and efficient. It is a bit more efficient than my Intimidator, and quite a bit more efficient than my G3iQ. I like that it comes with a safety lock. Though it can be turned on and off, the redundancy is appreciated. The trigger is very nice as well. It has two modes of travel and is completely walkable with its light, S design and magnetic return. I actually like the trigger, however, the screw travels up into the marker and jams the trigger down rendering the gun inoperable because the magnet is too low in the frame. You can fix that with a rotary tool and a little low-viscosity super glue if you are interested in putting a little work in. I donít hate the slightly ergo-grip frame style, but the grips are not swappable so that takes away from the gun as well. I like that it can work on any pressure using any propellant, as well as the fact that you can set the ROF to three round burst without a ramp.

I really wish there was support for this gun because I really do like it despite all the problems. If I could just get the gun to fire more consistently Iíd use it all the time, as it sits now I donít even use it as a loaner. I take the most issue with the stock inline regulator, and the complete absence of non-standardized after-market upgrades. That said, I would seriously NOT buy this marker if I was given the option, however if you get a good one and you donít want to ever seriously upgrade it than it should be good for a toss around marker. Iíd replace the regulator (if you can get one to work), barrel, ASA (If you can find a rail system add-on with longer bolts) and feed neck (If you can find a trinity double clamp anymore) as soon as you get it though, otherwise you will probably be disappointed. Good Luck.

I'm a bit of a eccentric when it comes to paintball. Since I only play scenario, I look for inexpensive solutions. I started last January with a pump black magic. With enough distance, that marker is supreme nirvana. My only issue, once a target got close enough, even rentals could out shoot me. Picked this up refurbished and I shoot WAY more paint, but I almost never get shot. Anyways...

When I first got the marker, it worked the first day, wouldn't cycle a second round the next. Took it back. My tech filled the asa with lube-oil and got the regulator working again. The o-rings were ceased from not being used for so long. meh

The marker doesn't have anti-chop eyes, it has an anti chop BOLT. If you're doing it right, your marker will cycle faster than your hopper can feed, then you'll have a jam. This marker does NOT like expensive-brittle paint, for the above reason.

LOUD- unported 14 inch barrel (pretty accurate tho)

Set up on semi-auto doesn't work right. The bps was clearly below 8, so I got around it by using the full-auto function and just feathered the trigger on that setting.

Those are all the issues I've ever had with it. For 50bucks, this is one of the best investments I've made. Well worth it. I would buy a few of these, since I've had the experience with them.
