Pros: Everything, almost
Cons: Board could use more firing modes
I got myself a Vicious Ego10 when they were first released, as I knew through the grapevine that this Ego was supposed to be a little more focused on how it shoots rather than speed. This definitely turned out to be the case, and Planet Eclipse did a great job. Its still a poppet valve gun, so its not the smoothest shooting gun out there, but for a poppet, and an Ego, it was amazing. This gun is just has awesome features scattered throughout it. Its also a very balanced and ergonomic feeing marker. Its still very easy to maintain like previous Egos as well; its also still fast, just not as fast as previous model, but whats the difference between shooting 30BPS and 40BPS? Not to mention, where are you going to do it besides your backyard. This model does not sacrifice air efficiency though, and its still great. This is probably one of the easiest guns to use and maintain for the performance you get out of it.

My real and only complaint/suggestion is that since it is a $1250.00 marker, that they add more firing modes to the board. PE has done this with all their guns, and it will still do any needed PSP and NPPL modes, would just be nice to have full auto or something to fool around with. Other than that this is just one of the markers you cant go wrong with.

Owned and used an Ego10 since Feb 2010. I've put minimal maintenance into it, literally let it sit in a bag for weeks before and took it straight to the field to use and it still performs as it should. Very consistent, very reliable, overall an awesome gun.

Pros: light, well made, super reliable, easy to maintain
Cons: Minor comfort issues (my preference only)
I have had this marker since early 2010 and have easily put well over 100K shots through this thing. I have used it in hundreds of games across practices, drills and numerous tournaments under the worst of conditions and it has given me next to zero problems. The only problems I have had were related to paint breakage. Once I got shot near the trigger and paint got into trigger frame which gummed-up the micro-switch (a simple cleaning took care of that). Another time I had a bad ball get blocked in the barrel, it caused others behind it to break and it gummed up the breech and rammer housing (again a good cleaning took care of that). It still shot and worked fine in both situations though. AND THOSE ARE THE ONLY PROBLEMS I’VE HAD IN CLOSE TO 2 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP! It’s been the best gun I’ve owned and I’ve owned a lot of guns (GEO2, Victory, Mini, A5, Vibe, Reflex Rail and a G3). The retail price was a bit steep for most but it has everything you’d need STOCK. The LED board is great and easy to use, the reg. is consistent and easy to maintain, stock barrel is good, awesome case, extensive manual, extra parts, solid construction, light weight… I could on and on with this gun. Overall, it’s a great value even at it’s original price. The best part is it requires very little maintenance. Take it out of your bag and use it. Maybe every few cases, put some oil on the rammer. That’s pretty much it for normal maintenance. More time spent playing; a lot less time spent troubleshooting. The only minor comfort issue I had was that the stock on/off ASA routed the macro-line out of the side so I swapped the ASA for one that routed it out the front for my own comfort. To each his own . If you are looking for a good marker overall and certainly one of the best (if not the best) poppet valve markers out there, I don’t think you could wrong. Especially now that you can pick one up used at a very reasonable price. These things can take a beating so even if you find one that has not been well maintained, you can’t go wrong. Planet Eclipse has awesome customer service. They monitor their PBN forum throughout the day and are always available via a simple phone call to help you out.

Pros: Reliable
Cons:
I got my 10 by trading my 08 and adding some. When I first got it, it took me a few weeks just to get used to holding it as it is slightly bigger than an 08. Also it was a next to new gun with only 2 cases or so through it so I had to break it in before I could do some minor tweaks. FPS had a +15fps jumps every other shot when I first used it (wasn't the paint). After about 10 cases or so it started evening out with about 3-10fps jumps every now and then. I adjusted the LPR and HPR after dropping a pooty modded bolt on it and its the best gun I've ever shot (next to my 08). Was extremely satisfied with the case too because of the zippers instead of the clam box like my 08 had (clips on mine were broken). Would recommend for back/mid players as it being a poppet, will easily lob the paint over snake knuckles and hills for rec balling hehe.

Pros: reliable, light, bullet proof
Cons: loud, no as consistent as i would hope
I liked my ego 10 it really felt great shooting. I loved the board is comes with, the gun is rock solid reliable. The only complaint i have about the gun is the consistency. I would always properly fit my paint, and the gun was serviced by a PE tech and the consistency over the chrono was allways +-10. Compared to my other poppets ive owned that wasnt very consistent. But the gun overall is a great gun dont be afraid to pick on up!

Planet Eclipse Ego 2010 (Ego10) I had my Ego 10 for most of the summer and really enjoyed its performance. The only cons of it are the sound. Other than that the marker was definitely a joy to have.

I have a vicious egoX and this is the first ego I have ever owned. I must say it is the best. I have owned a luxe(s), clone vx'd, dm10, and a victory and I decided to switch to a poppit valve after being sick and tired of the spool valve problems. NOT 1 PROBLEM with my ego since I have had it and it is a workhorse. The feel is the only part I do not like but the new EGO11 solved that!

This has been my primary gun since the day I bought it back in 12/10. I've had zero issues with it (or my 09 ego that I got used in 1/11). If you have the money and want a gun that will just work perfectly, the EGO is the gun for you.

Planet Eclipse Ego 2010 (Ego10) I have the Poison Ego10. It's always been my dream gun. Traded my Ego11 for it, plus others so trade was in my favor. In my opinion, this gun shoots better than my 11.
