Pros: Quiet, inexpensive, low kick
Cons: inefficient, poor reg consistency
For it's price, the NXT is not a bad a gun at all. Despite the poor Smart Parts reputation, I would not say it's a crappy marker at all.

Speed - It isn't the fastest of the high end market, but it's doubtful you will be able to outshoot it.

Efficiency - This is one of the gun's biggest weaknesses; my NXT was very inefficient, under 1000 shots to a 68/45

Looks/weight - I personally think NXTs look pretty nice. It's not too heavy either.

Kick - My NXT had a bit more kick than most other spool valves; even a bit more than my A1. Still, it had relatively low kick, and far less than an Ego.

Noise - It was very quiet, though not as quiet as a DM

Reliability - When I had mine, it never really broke. I had some o-ring related leaks, but they were generally fixed by re-lubing. I gave it 4 stars there because of it's o-rings and how often you need to re-lube and change them.

Value - The NXT is a good value, with overall high end performance at a reasonable price.

Chopping - Mine wasn't necessarily a blender, but it did chop more than my A1.

Overall Good: Low Price, pretty quiet, nice looking

Overall Bad: Inefficient, lame stock reg,

Pros: shoots great!
Cons: maintenance
well coming from a shocker guy of ofcourse im going to love the nxt! ive owned one for a long time and ive always loved the feel and looks the the nxt

like any other shocker (sft,pl's) they have proven themself over the years as great guns!..they shoot amazing and will last forever (as long as you take care of thm)

performence: it shoots great and is quiet..for its age and how long its been around it still keeps up with the best of them.the shocker is the true start of the "spool" gun and what made them really take off!..with some tuning these things shoot straight and will definetly impress anyone if they are given the chance to play some matchs with them!

looks:personaly i think they are sexy!..out of all the shockers NXT got the looks of the family!..the lines on the gun are nice and all the private label NXT's that came out outshine the SFT private labels

i would highly recomend this guna to ANYONE especialy now that you can get them for dirt cheap!..just because the value isnt high anymore does not take away from the performence at all!..there is a reason so many pro teams used these guns for the longest time!..that right there should be all enough reason to go out and get one of these guns!

Cons: none, great marker
Picked up one of these after being out of the sport for a while. Picked it up for a great price of 350 off of ebay.

Had a virtue board, full freak kit, drop forward, low rise feed neck, and a halo b, with a 68/45.

Efficiency was good for me, once I had it set it was set. Remarkably fast and accurate and extremely reliable. Would still have it as a back up today if I hadnt sold it.

I was very happy with my NXT. Shoots smooth, fast, accurate... what more could you want? I found the stock reg to be inconsistent. At one time I was getting 15 fps deviations. Also, the feedneck and on/off suck. Other than that I loved it. It never broke down on me.

Price paid: $570.00
Pros: Great look, balanced weight, and dependable
Cons: Board isn't very "flexible"
The price isn't actually the price just for the gun. I've purchased it with the complete Freak kit (with 1 All-American front) on eBay used.

Appearance: I'm actually a fan of the milling done on the NXT. The gun looks sleek (haha, get it? sleek...sl33k..?? =___=), almost streamlined. Appearance is personal preference, so won't really need to go into it.

Performance: Ok, something that we all can dive into: performance of a marker. The Shocker, like every other high-end, will take care of you if you take care of it. However, I love the little-to-no-kick from the bolt, helps me able to shoot more accurately. The All-American front that comes with the gun is completely amazing, and the accuracy on this gun is very up to par. The maintenance issue might make buyers go for other markers...if you are one of them read this: Just remember that if you're looking into a high-end, you'll want to always keep your marker clean. I personally don't mind cleaning it and re-lubricating my NXT after every day of play because I know it's ready for another day of play.

Reliability: Well, some marker do go for about several day's worth of play without having to re-lube, the Shocker isn't one of those guns. However, it shouldn't matter since if you're purchasing a high-end marker, cleaning the marker and re-lubing it should be a favorite relaxing hobby after a day of play (then again, I'm a geek with glasses so...=___=).

Value: Its a great marker, but the price (Listed as...I think around 700 on their main site?? not sure) is lower compared to other high-ends. I personally don't like the stock board on the NXT's, which is very limited. I mean, ok its a stock board, but I think Smart Parts could've done better with the stock board.

the gun looks great, but it's reliability is poor this gun messed up almost everytime i tryed to use it (possibly user error ). but when it's working it is a beast only upgrade i can recomend is a new feedneck, you might as well order one when you order the marker. and maybe a new manifold because i was told the stock one will cause first shot drop off like mine. also if you buy aftermarket grips you have to be carefull not to screw in the screw to far or it might crush your electronics.

Pros: Light, fast, reliable, simple
Cons: Low resale
I've shot a shocker as my main gun for a couple years, and I love them to death. Their weight and looks are what first attracted me to them, and then when I bought an NXT as soon as they came out I loved it. The pins are threaded, the screws are stronger, and it's just put together better in general. It's just as reliable as an SFT, which many believe as troublesome, but as I said I've owned a shocker for about 3 years and I've had very few problems. As long as you clean it and lube it after every day of play it will last you forever. The only thing bad about them would have to be that the stock trigger isn't too great, and their resale is very low. However the stock reg and barrel are both perfectly fine for the gun, and pretty impressive for a stock part.
