Safety here is horrible. most people were walking around without barrel plugs. refs didnt do anything when people were taking their mask off in the middle of the game. They didnt do HPA so i was stuck using a rental that was disgusting. And you almost drive into a pond in the driveway. Overall experience was really bad

I think hands down TriggerTyme has the best scnearios and field setup I have seen in the South Carolina area. Also its one of the only fields that allows you to bring your own paint, which greatly reduces the price most fields charge for the markup on their paint. It suffered from some bad press about a year ago. But Robbie has made some major improvements and renovations to get it back to a stellar field. It looks great and plays better. If your in the area you should definetly check it out.

The only down side I have seen is that Robbie is under staffed for the amount of business that comes through. Since it is privately owned he only has a few hired hands to help him with running the place. So it does rely heavily on courteous and honest players to help regulate the flow and enforce rules when need be. But as things are continuing to improve and additional staff is just a matter of time Im sure

great woodsball style fields, no speedball beside a rigged up one with wooded bunkers. the only gripe i have is i only run hp through my gun, and every weekend i go out there, they claim they will have the hp tanks up and running and never do-which is a huge pain in the ***, plus i pay for field fee which includes all day air, and i never get a discount for that also-if you like woodsball and run co2, its perfect. other than that, go to ballbusters!

Pros: Decent Woodsball fields
Cons: Everything else
Called before hand to verify that everything would be open for play on Saturday. When we arrived, the field house had no power and was lit by a battery operated lantern, they had to write down credit cards to process later, and their HPA compressor was still down with no repair time available. The safety was horrid with no Chrono's anywhere. It was left up to the owners of the markers to keep their velocity in check. People were shooting in the staging area and the refs did not kick them out. The paint that they were selling for $50 per box was paint that you could by at Wal-mart for $30 and you were allowed to bring your own if you pay a $5 fee. Value was given a 3 of 5 due to the fact that you could bring your own paint.

This is a true woods field with very little shooting lanes which is good or bad depending on your style of play. Props in the fields were a good addition to the play which is why the fields got a 4 OF 5 stars.

This place needs to be looked at very hard before anyone goes out to play.

I will not be going back to this field until they have improved everything about this field and location.

Pros: friendly staff and regulars, prices are reasonable
Cons: hpa is only 3000
As mentioned in the pros, the staff and regulars here are *immensely* friendly and helpful. They are very heavily a woodsball field, but do have one semi-speedball, which is used mainly to warm up the new guys at the beginning of the day, or a quick match on the way back from the Village course. They have 6 fields in total, each one being wildly different than the other.

"Village" is a short walk from the staging area, and is probably the most played course. It is setup, as the name suggests, like a small village. It has three single story buildings, and two two story buildings, with various cover scattered in between. There is a respectable creek that runs the entire length of the northern side of the field, which is used as a boundary, and is great for flanking, if you know what you are doing. The main gametypes played on this course are CtF, Team Elimination, and Bomb Diffusal.

"Castle" is the aforementioned speedball-esque course. There's not much to say about it, besides the games are over crazy fast, no matter if it's pros or complete beginners playing, hence the warm-up matches. Pretty much the only game type played here is Team Elimination.

"The Island" is on the other side of the creek that runs alongside "Village", and the creek actually does split around it, making it a true island, with a decent sized creek/gully (depending on the weather) surrounding it. On the island is the largest structure at Triggertyme, a multi-story fort. The main game types for this are Attack/Defend, Infiltrate, and depending on the group size, it is sometimes put into play as part of "Village".

"Bunker Hill" is a very simple one story structure, with raised towers overlooking a crazy steep hill, with a creek at the bottom. Pretty much the only game type played here is "Infiltrate", and you need some serious strategy to do so, considering the terrain.

"Tower" consists of a simple two story tower, smack in the middle of a small island, with a small ditch/moat (depending on the weather), and heavy woods surrounding that. This course is used for either Attack/Defend, or an objective based game, where you need to get three barrels off of the island, without getting shot.

"Airport" is 30 yards of dense woods on all sides, surrounding an open area with scattered cover, a single tower on the edge, and an airplane crashed right in the middle, hence the name. It is Triggertyme's second most played field, and is one *hell* of a hike, but not too bad. There are many ways to play this map, including sneaking around the edges, capturing the tower, playing like a speedball course, and straight up charging up the middle. Gametypes played here are either Team Elimination, Single Flag CtF, or Multiflag CtF.

Regarding some of the negative reviews, I agree, they did used to be pretty bad about safety, and the hpa service wasn't too great, but they have had some major reformations since then. They are extremely strict about safety, but not to the point of being a**holes about it, and the though the hpa only fills to 3000, it is super fast, and always up.

To sum it all up, I've been playing paintball for 7 years at many different places, including all of my friend's houses, and have never had more fun than at Triggertyme. If you come, ask one of the regulars for Luke, or "The Captain". I'm there almost every weekend, and love to help anyone love the sport of paintball.
