Very clean, the staff is awesome, variety of field
Cons:
understaffed
I love going there to play. The fields are very well maintained. The staff is very nice. They all have paintball or air soft experience. It seems that they always have the customer in mind. The only con is that they are under staffed. They have one person in the pro shop and one referee for airsoft and one referee for paintball. It takes a long time to get started. Besides that there is always a good turn out and lots of people to compete against.

fills over 4K & great pro shop with fair prices!
lots of players at all levels every time I have been there and everyone is treated with respect!
If you enjoy paintball or have never been and want to see what's up, this is where you should go!

If you're looking for cheap ($10 field fee and all day air), fun, and laid back paintball, Bethel is the place for you. The rec field is a lot of fun, the refs know a lot of fun game modes (INFECTION ftw), and you simply cannot beat BYOP. There is only one rec field, and the speedball field is usually not inflated (but can be set up if you ask nicely), but other than that is a fantastic place to play against others who are there to have fun:

Bethel has come a long way in the past year. Since taking over Bethel, Bobby and company have really turned it around and made it a premier field. It has everything a player could want, Hyperball, woods, urban, and airball. This is my teams primary field now. the only drawbacks are that the store needs fresh inventory and more choices in paint.

Bethel Battlefield aka Bethel ParkThis field is a ton of fun and the people that work there are great. The price is a little steep but you get what you pay for. Always a great turnout of new players and experienced players.

I've played here over 20 times since November 2012 and used to play here in 2008 with the previous ownership.
The service has improved with the new owners and is more interesting/enjoyable; especially for the newcomers. Plenty of new rental masks and solid rental guns. Waivers, safety, rental is all pretty streamlined and uniform.
Pro shop is average, once in a while they'll have a DM or something high-end up there, mostly axe's and such middle of the road markers. Plenty of soft goods available (clothes, packs, masks, tank covers, etc). Prices are TAX FREE since it's on an Air Force base. In addition, prices on equipment are usually better than you could get online.
Fields are in need of repair. The hyperball field is coming apart. The woods field bunkers are falling apart, and the city is similar. It would really only take a day of work for them to stack the tires back up and throw the logs back onto bunkers but it hasn't happened yet.
The airball field is gone. They moved it to the Chesapeake field, a majority of the speedball players migrated with it. Mostly walk-on players, newcomers, or tactical types. A few speedball types still come out.
The VIP program is great. Saves a lot of money on field fees, air and paint. Biggest advantage is it includes 6 fields which I believe are owned by the same person.

Field's have always been pretty well taken care of, last time i was there they had 2 speedball fields, the woods field is pretty large for what they have to work with. Sell's paint and basic field supplies (barrel condoms, orings, etc) they let you bring your own paint, standard prices (25 rental 10 all day air 10 field fee)
over all its a pretty decent field, then again Virginia beach sucks as far as paintball goes so work with what you have...

I've played at Bethel several times, and the 'new' field is great! The extra cost to get in is OK for the improved fields. The FPO is ok price, and good paint.
I have a big issue with the Ref staffing. Most of the Refs were good, but several did not want to go check players that might have been hit. There have been atleast 3 occasions where a little kid with a rental gun got a gun hit, and just curled up behind there bunker. I told the ref that it was a rental kid under there, and they were being shot again, and the answer was 'that other ref will get him out' At one point, I went and got the kid. New players are paintball lifeblood! take care of them! I told the ref that, and I think I made an enemy. I had this ref make me come to him for paint checks 2 times, and did not cover me during the paint check. I asked him if he was going to do anything about the incoming, and he said "nope, now your really out" He checked my hopper during a game, and tell me he know the "other players are honest" when I asked he was only checking me and my brothers hoppers. This ref called me out when I ran up and thumped on the wall of a MOUt hse and called for a surrender. I play very 'clean' , and in over 10 years playing never ever been flagged or card punched, and this ref was all over me. I was actually going to other parts of the field to avoid him. I was never rude, always polite, and never did get in trouble with ANY ref. I was just disgusted with 'Will', and can honestly say that issues like this will keep me away from a field.

Bethel Battlefield aka Bethel ParkI have played at this field since 2006 and it has grown into one of the best fields around.
