My friend Ross and I went to play paintball at Carnage today. Normally we would just stick to Nitro and have a great time, today was different. We flipped a coin and Carnage Paintball won...
Optimistic we drive the field. We pull in, and are one of only 4 vehicles in the parking lot, so immediately our optimism fades. Ross is using my back-up Ego Ten and I am using my Geo 3.1. Immediately we get the smart eye from the "more experienced then thou desk clerk." Ross and I are both reaching 30 years old, but were treated like a couple children by this staff member. We are told to "not ramp on rentals, don't fool around, and watch out for the cop playing on the field today." After we were treated like 16 year old skater punks using their parents money to play paintball, the clerk says his 12 year old son will be down in the field reffing, and if we shoot him, he will give his son his GL6 and will rip us apart... Outstanding customer service off the bat and we haven't even paid yet.
I ask to buy a case of paint, and the guy points out his whopping selection of all two cases of Valken paint (which are really 4 loose bags of 500 merged off the shelf into an open case) and charged me $50 dollars. The paint was dimpled to hell and back, and one of the bags had a break in it already. Just when I think it can't get much worse we are told they only fill your air to 2k. So great that means all the rentals need air after each and every game. Thank God there is only 5 of them.
So all 7 of us take to the field under the supervision of one 12-year-old reff, who doesn't dictate the game type, control the time limit, or in general watch over the game. We played 4 games in 5 hours, all seven of us. I couldn't help but notice the staff smoking around the small children; even our very own 12-year-old reff was smoking while he was refilling our air. I felt like I was in the twilight zone here.
As much as I enjoyed the woodsball environment, I can’t recommend Carnage for the life of me. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 10 minutes to play at Nitro. You will not be disappointed with your choice.

Carnage PaintballMy brother and I stopped by this past Sunday and had a great time. Good turnout with 30+ players from 12p-5p.
The fields were good sizes for the number of players, but there were only 3.
