Made the drive down to JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord) two weeks ago to try something different. Getting there was a snap, since it's just of the I-5. Since I'm not in the military nor associated with anyone stationed at JBLM, I had to wait about an hour or so until someone showed up at the field who could come to the Visitor's Center to be my base sponsor - Thanks to Logan & Patrick who took time out to help me.
Pro player Nick Goobin was out playing that day, and I got a chance to run a few 2-on-2 speedball games with him on my team. Speedball field was decent for an outdoor astroturf surface, and had a great time playing on it. Later in the afternoon, larger 7-on-7 groups played speedball for a few matches while rotating to the Urban and scenario fields.
Pros:
1. Friendly staff, great camaraderie
2. Pro shop on site (for those little things and a few big ones)
3. Good staging area, cubbies for large gear bags
Cons
1. Parking lot - small, somewhat cramped (Logan's truck got sort of boxed in by another player's vehicle)
2. Facilities - PortaPotties. Need I say more?
3. Ant Hills - yes, there are large ant hills peppering the forested area where the Urban and scenario fields are (and by large, I mean 2-ft high tree-stump size hills); AVOID IF POSSIBLE.
Overall rating - 4.5 out of 5
If not for the hassle of obtaining a base pass, I'd probably play here a lot more.

Overall a good field, I have been going here off and on since early 2000's. The staff is nice as long as you follow all of the rules, which is not hard to do. The fields offer something for everybody, they have a village with a couple vehicles, a few wooded fields, and a full size xball field. If you can get on base or if you can get up early enough to not have to wait to get a visitor pass it is a good walk on field to play. There isn't a lot of speedball players anymore depending on the day, but a lot of rec players show up. Overall a good field, and the scenario events are always fun.

Alright, so I have played at this field a few times, the first time I went my gun wasn't working so I spent more money than I should have to get a rental gun (which are very nice btw: Etek 3 with Rotor). They have very nice woodsball courses and nice Airball (speedball) field.
The second time I went It was a lot more fun. Playing speedball most of the time and a few woodsball games, it was a blast! It would be nice if they cleaned the old paintballs off the field so it would be fresh but it is still nice.
There are several woodsball fields, one that has several buildings and one that is in the woods with a road through the middly. It is pretty cool and I heard they sometimes use all the woodsball fields together for one big field.
The down side is if you are a speedballer, it takes a while before they let you on the field unless you are with a group that goes there often which makes it nice.
They have concessions there which is nice. It is a bit difficult to get in to the base but besides that it is a great field. Definitely worth going.

If you can get on post, Paintball Inc is your best bang for your buck.
They've got the best value of any field in the area, and as said in the "Pros," the know what they're doing. The field owner is a certified tech on pretty much every marker out there. He's been in the paintball business for apprx 20 years, and it shows by the way he runs his field.
People have posted negative comments about his wife, but she simply follows the strict DoD (Department of Defense) guidelines. I've chatted with them numerous times about this, and, in my opinion, they are very professional when correcting people. Maturity goes a long way with these folks...something to think about.
3 woods fields and a SupAir field. They regularly run player promotion days, the most recent being Easter where they gave away a few thousand dollars in gear/apparel including a brand new marker (X7) and a mask (Profiler).
This is my home field, so of course I'm going to be promoting it so I can meet new players, but again....you must have a DoD ID holder with you to get on post.
Hope to see you all out there.

I've been going here for years now. I feel it is like a second home. The staff always greet you by name. Everyone there makes sure you have a good time. Even as a regular customer I'm always asked," Havin' Fun?" I always reply," Yeah." But I can only assume if someone wasn't they would fix it. They have approximately 4-5 fields(sometimes they combine them in big games.) They have 2008 Phoenix PSP Bunkers and their still in great condition. They have a turfed speedball field and is always kept nice. Although paint is FPO and is a little pricey your actually saving compared to other places where you have to pay sales tax. So one good day of play is about $75($20 field fee, $55 for a case of basic paint.) Not bad.
Cons: Not an actual bathroom, Porta Potty.
If they sweeped the speedball field a little more often wouldn't be a bad idea.
Sometimes they only pay specific attention to the woodsball players and the speedballers have to wait for a ref/staff member, which usually takes long because the woodsball games are lengthy. Occasionally though they will let you run your own games if you have the right crowd.
It is on base. This makes it difficult for some to get to the field. But it isn't that bad.
OVERALL:
Great place to have a good day of play. I always return because I have never had bad experience here. (I may play bad, but that isn't their fault. lol)
Get out there and play

I decieded to check out the field on base and like most bases the field itself was run down and busted up. The prices were okay but one one besides some woodsballers had shown up to play. I didnt bother asking for a refund. If the place got some serious TLC it would be a great place to hang out and have fun. Also getting on base can be a hassle because players need to get a pass to get onto base.
