I've played at Rick'z Game'z Paintball one time, and that was enough for me. While it was a while ago that I played there ( a few years back), the experience was rather horrible, and from what research I've been able to do, it doesn't appear to have changed much. Regardless, this review is based on what I experienced when I played there.
I had made arrangements with the owner of the field about two weeks in advance; my team and I were looking for a field to practice at on a regular basis, and seeing as this field was only a short drive for most of the members, it seemed ideal. The day that we were set to practice, we arrived early to get setup (as most people would do), only to find the field in shambles, and the owner completely unaware that we were coming (he had forgotten).
Not only did he not have very much fresh paint available (what he had was rather old), but the bunkers weren't blown up, half of the netting was ripped down, and the field wasn't mowed. So, for the majority of the time that we were there, we were helping to get the field setup so that we could play. The owner wasn't willing to mow the field, so we had to play in grass that was a little higher than our ankles, which is less than ideal to say the least.
Once we got to playing, we were constantly experiencing problems with bunker deflation, and had to keep filling them up, as many of them had leaks. Halfway through the day, the tanks ran dry and we were no longer able to top off, so as we ran out of air, we had to turn to other practice methods that didn't involve actually shooting our markers, which wasn't what we had planned on for that particular practice, but we adjusted.
The prices at the field were unreasonable as well. I know that it's not a large and overly popular field, so he has to charge a bit more in order to turn a profit, which is understandable, but in situations like that, you'd expect that what you're paying for should at least be of quality, like it should at any establishment, and that simply wasn't the case. As I mentioned, the paint that he had available was rather old, and kept breaking in our markers, so it wasn't worth what we paid for it (although, the prices would have been very fair if the paint was of quality), and the prices for air were way too high as well, especially seeing as most fields don't charge for air.
All in all, I was very dissatisfied with my experience at Rick'z Game'z Paintball. The owner seems very irresponsible, the field quality is on the lower end of the spectrum, and the prices aren't worth what you get for them, or at least, they weren't when I was there. If things have changed, then this review may be obsolete, but as I've said, this is based on what I experienced.
