I've been playing at On Target since March of 2009, and it's been a really rewarding experience. The fields there are different than most others in New Jersey, incorporating a great deal of sand into their bunkers. It's one of the few woodsball fields I've encountered where cleats are advantageous to use. I participated in a woodsball tournament there and the field used has since become my favorite field to play hands down. The people there are nice, the staff is there to help you and keep you safe. Every single day of play there, whether rec ball, tournament or scenario event, the field owner John Malham gives the player briefing so that everyone who comes to his field understands how to play and understands what is acceptable at his fields. It's a highly refreshing experience to play there.

I have been playing at this field for over 7 years now and I have to say I can't say a single bad thing about it. It's $65 for a case and entry and you can bring your own paint on Sundays. The owner is a nice guy and knows how to run a business well. The fields are very nice and are always being updated. They also have a really nice turf speedball field. All the bunkers are cleaned at the end of the day and the turf is blow off also, which makes it feel brand new every day. Fun for all ages. Once in a while you will find a ***hole but that's at every paintball field in the world. I would suggest this field to anyone.

I go to this field from Philly, quite simply because of the family vibe and affordability. Sundays are byop and they also have Wednesday byop 4-9pm. Even if you buy paint there, the pricing is pretty decent. The refs are cool, fields are a blast. At this point they've got six woods ball fields, two hyper ball, and one speedball field. Every now now and then there will be some jerks, but mostly the people who play there are friendly and helpful. The attitude while hanging out in the pits between games - really nice wooden covered pits, btw -is great. The crew grills up dogs for the lunch break. My only gripe is that sometimes the breaks between games can be a little bit longer than I feel they need to be. But overall everything else makes it worthwhile. The owner is usually there walking around and making sure everybody is having fun. He really makes it clear that he's happy for the business and to have everybody out there enjoying themselves. Truly awesome field!

I've played here 3 times. All 3 on a Sunday which is a BYOP day. The staff has always been nice/courteous and they have some decent fields for play. Especially when you factor in the fact that 2 days a week are BYOP days. I've played at numerous fields through NY, NJ, PA, Ma and IL. Normally its been FPO and the price of paint and the quality of fields, in my experience, have gone hand in hand. That is you've gotten what you paid for. So going back to this place and the BYOP....they have some decent fields considering.
Now I did have a few problems the last time I went (approx 1 week ago). First the manner in which they separated teams could be much better. It was Bands vs No-Bands. Nothing wrong with that save that the bands were these thin, dull colored strings tied to the bottom of their markers. During the game they basically become invisible. On a couple of occasions it allowed the opposing team to walk up to our players, pretend to be on the same team and when our players put their guard down they were shot in the back. Refs did nothing about this. Thats a bad situation which could lead to fighting and serious off field problems. No one likes cheaters. My recommendation....invest in some colored velcro are straps that are handed out each game and taken back after the game is done. I've seen this done at another field and it works effortlessly. If the straps are too much then colored tape. It can be easily purchased from Officemax or ordered offline.
Another problem was the air refills. Now the two previous times I visited there wasn't a problem so I am just going to take it that this particular weekend they had a problem with their tanks.
Lastly, while playing walk-on we noticed that we had somewhere between 50-60 people and ONLY 2 refs. Not good. It resulted in those refs basically being invisible all day. Unavailable for paint checks or to catch opposing players wiping/cheating even after being repeatedly called by our players.
Aside from the problems this weekend though I still think its a good place to play. Best place I know of in the Tri-state area that allows you top bring your own paint. I seriously think they need to remedy the way they signify who is on what team but aside from that its a solid place.
