Pros: Pro Shop, Price, Free Sundays, Staff, Fields
Cons: Long drive for me personally
My first experience with Pentagon Paintball was their Pro Shop about two years ago. I was looking to get into the sport and was told about their unbeatable marker prices, this turned out to be very true. I purchase my first new marker in 10 years from them at nearly 30 dollars cheaper than any online or b&m store I had seen. Just recently I purchased another marker for $20 under internet list price...they can't be beat.

Recently, I've started hitting up their fields, and they have been anything but a disappointment. Postal, Depot, and Urban are the primary fields I've played. The staff is awesome, willing to take pictures or ref private 1on1 games, and they cook some awesome BBQ on select Sundays.

Speaking of Sundays, Pentagon runs a unique deal for players. Come on any Sunday open play, pay your field fee, and they rest of the year your field fee is free! That means paint and air is all you need to worry about the rest of the year, which is perfect for the budget minded player!

I would and have recommended this field to friends and other players, and will continue to do so.

Pros: Value, atmosphere, fields
Cons: Wish they were open longer on Sundays!
I play here often, once or twice a month. I drive an hour and 45 minutes to play at Pentagon. You can't beat the price and value of playing here. Pay a once a year $15 fee and play for free any open play Sunday plus the cost of paint and air. How can you beat that? Good 4500 air fills, the store is stocked with pretty much anything you could ever need, and the crowd is a stand up group of players. Never have I seen any knuckleheads there like I have at other fields. The staff and owner are a great group and the refs do a good job. They keep the games going all day long. There are never really any long waits between games, just enough to get more paint and air if need be. They have 6 or so fields to play on, and mix and match them up a bit. In the warmer months, they have an air ball field up. Try this field out, you'll like it!

Pros: Excellent Fields, Staff and Pro Shop
Cons: Air is in store not at fields
I used to play at this field when I was in college, overall it's probably the best field I've played at. They have great fields (and from the website it looks like they have added more since I played there) and top notch staff. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable and excited about the sport.

More often than not when we brought a large group (~15 players) consisting of my colleges Rec Club members and NCPA Team members they would have free food for everyone.

The pro shop has a decent selection and good prices on what they have. Most importantly paint wasn't gouged and they had reasonable options at multiple performance grades.

Only negative I have (and this may no longer be true) but when I played there the only air source was in the shop 150' from the staging area. If you had a small tank or a gas hog for a gun it would require a lot of walking back and forth. I always filled two tanks to limit the trips.

Pros: Great Pro Shop, Great Prices, Awesome People
Cons: Little Competitive Speedball
I grew up playing paintball at Pentagon, and I can't imagine learning the sport anywhere else. The owners Sean and Nicole and great people and run a quality place. The proshop is always stocked with whatever you need, and almost always below internet prices. Plus they have a cool "used" section where they will sell your gear on commision.

The only downside is the lack of a competitive speed ball scene in the area. Most tournament players travel to Pittsburgh regularly to play, as there just isn't as much of a scene here.

If you just want to come out for a day and have fun and meet people, this is the place to go. If you want to get on your tournament grind, you might have to travel some more.
