Paintball Explosion Park Haha yea im a speedball fan myself, but i do tend to play woodsball once in a while. They just need an outdoor speedball field again, otherwise nuketown is great but one speedball field is'nt enough.

Pros: Selection of Fields, Staff
Cons: Case prices, lack of refs
This is field is so close that it's practically in my backyard (not really). The staff is very friendly and inviting, they check hydro dates often which is great. The only downside is the lack of refs on the fields and the price per case which isn't very inviting to people who would possibly want to return for more.

Pros: awesome facilities/service
Cons: the drive, lol
this is by far the biggest, coolest paintball center i have ever seen/played at. its pretty huge and it has everything you may need - friendly helpful techs (that often charge nothing to do major save-the-day triage to your gun), 4500psi all-day every day (no excuses), bathrooms/lockers, decent food (even grilled burgers/dogs in decent weather), very well-stocked pro-shop...i won't go on much more except to say that i drive a couple hours just to play there every couple weeks. well worth the trip.

only downside is its not cheap (all those cool facilities and staff cost $) and sometimes the indoor fields are hard for noobs (like my 11 year-old nephew) to get action on b/c of all the next-gen pro's that dominate the timeslots. the scenario fields are a total blast to play on - keeps things interesting. overall, this place rocks and they reinvest in their fields (new one under-construction now)...

Pros: Field variety, etek rental
Cons: Paint price / quality, concete fields,
First, I've played paintball for over 20 years in a variety of places both local and international, so I've been around. That being said, this field has both good and bad aspects.

First, the good. I have yet to see a field offer a planet eclipse Etek as a rental option. That's pretty cool for the people starting out. The basic rental is the standard tippmann 98; not a bad option either. Now for field variety, you've got plenty to choose from: indoor, outdoor, woods, open fields..you name it. The game turnover is fast paced with new games being organized about 10 minutes after returning from the previous game. Lots of refs keeping the game safe and fair.

Now, the list of cons and grievances. The glaring problem: cost. They require field paint only, then they charge an arm and a leg for it. Now I understand the interest in providing environmentally friendly paint, but come on.. $85 just for a case? That's expensive!! We estimate the field is marking the price up a good $30-$40 for a case. Now, for that much money you'd expect to be getting some high quality tournament level paint. Not the case. I find the paint to be fragile and inconsistent in diameter. I saw plenty of people having problems with paint breaking in the barrels, markers, and a couple rentals that just ate the paint in the hopper. Pretty poor quality for that much money.

Next, their biggest asset is field variety, but some of the fields resemble parking lots converted to fields. There's lots of concrete and asphalt creating a hard surface for people who like to run and slide. I saw this guy get a face full of plywood when he was running, stop, and slide on some gravel into a bunker. Harsh!

Now, for all the pros and cons present, there always seems to be a good turnout and people are generally friendly. I may not be going back any time soon, but then again, plenty of people would disagree. I hope you found this informative.
