Pros: Great bunkers, nice variety of games, good refs
Cons: Basically only a single field
Have played North Shore over several years now. Overall a great field with excellent work done on building bunkers etc. There is basically only one large field, but a large hill in the middle allows the field to be split in half, allowing multiple games to be played at the same time. More often then not though, it's only a single game.

Paint is a little pricey and decent quality, but the owners need to pay for land in North Vancouver, so it's fine.

The some of the local gun owners (regulars) were quite friendly and helpful and the staff did a good job at keeping things running smooth.

Long story short: Great field, slightly limited due to size. Closest field to Vancouver.

When this field first started it was run by a partnership between Corey and Andy Chong, who has Nelson Paint distribution.

Field paint shot well, refs ran games regularly.

Canadian Scenario Paintball Organization ( CSPO ) used to play there frequently, bringing out mil-sim markers and tactical vests.

Rentals are available, bring your own marker too!

Pros: Staff, Location, Field
Cons: Paint Prices, Only one field
I've been playing at North Shore Paintball for about a year now and I've never had a bad experience. The staff is really fun and helpful, the refs are good and the field is pretty good for woodsball (no speedball available). The staff is always willing to help you out and answer any questions you have. The only downside to this field is the paint prices and how mucky it gets. Being right near the mountains when it rains the field has a hard time draining well so you'll constantly get little patches of deep mud throughout the field, best thing to do is wear hiking boots or just go when it's dry.

All in all I'd give the field 8.5/10 overall.

Pros: always 3 refs/game, good on and off field help
Cons:
this is not the field for a competing speedballer, better for one balling and picking your shots during the games. its definately good fun everytime I have gone in the last 6 months. There was a time that I avoided NSP because there were a bunch of elitist @**hole regulars that basically made it a no fun zone for a lot of renters, wiping, ignoring refs and the sort. I am EXTREMLY glad to say they are gone.

owners will always make the difference, but the ones that remain are nice guys.

A lot of the regulars either have a good standing with the staff, or were staff at some point. Everyone is nice and knowledgable. A good place to go to learn, Andy (the owner) takes great pride in getting things right. his safety speaches aren't 1 minute, they tend to be 5 or so long and really gets the renters pumped to play and have fun. He isnt always giving the speaches however, but he gets his staff to do a really good job aswell.

The field is the same as it has been for a long time. the refs do change up the games and locations because it is a large area, but it does get repetetive at times, but is still a lot of fun.

Generally there are 3 refs on the field for games, sometimes 2 for the smaller sized teams (usually early games before lots of ppl show up). they always try to keep it interesting and they consitantly balance teams if one is always winning or just rick rolls the other team.

the paint prices are pretty consistant to other outdoor fields (like most places ~90$ gets an owner enterance and 1000 rounds). as of 2012 the paint isn't low quality, its custom premium and every ball is pink with "NSP" printed all over it.

Tank fills are all by giant scuba tanks and because they serve the renters and the owners, you generally get 2000-2500 as a best fill from the tanks. just means keep a close eye on your air gauge. it is a little bit of a hassle, but its really minor.

Unfortunately NSP is in North Van and is right by the mountains, so when it rains the field gets really mucky. There are areas that just become mud pits, but for those on the North Shore, NSP is really close(15mins max for locals) compared to 45min-1hr drive to another field.
best suggestion is to bring your own coveralls because they have a limited number. yes you have to do your own laundry, but it beats getting a tshirt completely muddy.

overall, its a good place to have some fun for a day and shoot some paint, good people and nice location.

The feild itself is pretty dynamic, composing of a large hill, a front feild of urban type buildings and bunkers and a backfield of woods and a couple buildings. The feild smells terrible on wet days but the staff are always friendly and very helpful. They have fixed my guns on several occasions, The paint is not the best quality but better then most places and entry Is cheap compared to Richmond. Overall alot better place to go then richmond indoors

it's an amazing field if your playing pump or using a cocker or automag. if you're a speedballer it might not be the best cause the paint is pretty expensive and they only fill to 2000 psi. i first started playing here and i loved it. there's no food nearby unless you order pizza. the rental equipment should get upgraded especially since you're paying $160 for a case :p
