Pros: Friendly staff, good pricing, quality fields,
Cons: No open play, No free refills on the bread bowl soup! Lol
My friends and I came out to LZ last weekend at the invitation of Alex from Contact PB in Livonia, they were hosting the Normandy Revisited scenario, and while the weather left a bit to be desired, we had a fantastic time. As stated in the Pros/Cons, the staff was friendly, fair and well-organized; the fields were pretty diverse and well laid out (the Alpha field through the stand of pine trees is straight out of a nightmare I had once... But in a good way, if that makes sense?), all of the manufactured bunkers and structures are well designed and solidly constructed, and the inclusion of multiple "safe zone" huts wrapped in netting to allow you a place to clean your mask without taking the hike back to the staging area made everything go just that much smoother; the field fee (including free air) and paint pricing was very reasonable, and they even have a small pro shop onsite for any last minute needs (my buddy forgot his cyclone feed hopper, and they had an off-brand one for only 5 bucks!)

The vibe I got from there was purely love of the sport. Spent a few minutes chatting up the owner (over his beautiful Bauer HPA compressor), and it's pretty obvious he's a real ambassador, not just some guy trying to make a buck. They put a lot into this place, and it shows. And they truly care about keeping the players happy, safe AND well fed. Seriously, how many fields have you been to that serve delicious soup in bread bowls instead of the usual hot dogs, chips and candy bars? That broccoli and cheese soup was key to getting through the dismal weather and enjoying a great day of paintballing.

Cons? Other than the fact that LZ doesn't offer regular Open Play days (my friends and I would head there regularly if they did, for sure) and that the parking is a bit of a hike from the staging area... I can't think of a single complaint worth noting. Maybe chili next time? Haha. The website could use a makeover for sure, to show off the fields better.

Check out their 2015 schedule and make it out there. You won't be disappointed.

Pros: Versatile field(s)
Cons: Not enough bunkers
I played for the first time there recently, participating in my first scenario game... The staff was well organized and very friendly. Even though I stated my con as "not enough bunkers;" they're well-aware of this and will build more within the near future. The bunkers and field are still extremely fun to play on. They have open areas, a castle, several structures, and even heavily wooded areas. Whatever your style is, the field is accommodating. Thanks for a great time!

Landing Zone Paintball I love playing at the landing zone. It is the best field anywhere around and the cheapest prices on everything.
