This is definitely my favorite place to play paintball. There are several different types of fields to play on.
1. Airball- self-explanatory
2. Two Forts- a wooded field consisting of a high fort and a low fort, each with two stories, and plenty of woods in between
3. Construct- a fast paced field made up of concrete pipes and metal barrels
4. The City- a large field that equally mixes the experience of speedball and scenario. I prefer speedball/airball to the woods by far, but The City is now my favorite field to play on

The owner and his wife are awesome people and help make this the best place to play paintball anywhere around. Come out and play.

This is a fairly new Field that is in the process of becoming a 1 stop place to play. Right now they have a hyperball and scenario field. They have started construction of the speedball field and are working dilligently to get that open.
I was fortunate enough to play here on Easter with my nephew. I am primarily a speedballer, but with the field in construction and a scenario game scheduled, we participated in that.
I have to confess, I had a Fantastic time!
The young owner and his wife are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and I hope their dreams for this place are fulfilled.
If you get a chance, play here and help support them in making this place great!

This field is great. I've been playing here for over nine months, and he's got a lot of things in store for the fields. Every other week something is improved, whether it's a field, or the pro-shop accommodations, or something entirely unexpected.

What i really like is the variety of fields. There is definitely something for everyone.
~A fort field with two two-story forts, with a nice hill dotted with hay bales and pallets between.
~A nice airball field, although it's more fit for 3man than 5, it's possible
~A good hyperball field made with barrels, large spools and concrete pipes.
~My current favourite, a mock city field. I could write a paragraph about it, or you could go see it for yourself
~a grass field, which sounds lame, but is actually really fun. just a large open field with grass growing >4 feet tall.

The drive isn't bad either. less than 15 minutes from JSU.

The owner is also really nice, and a pretty good baller. he plays occasionally, just depends.

All in all, I probably won't stop playing here until i move away, or it closes.

Hurricane Mountain is still a relatively new field all things considered, just beginning what will be it's third year in business. It is well run, generally well kept facility with friendly staff that provides an excellent overall experience, especially for newer players.

The Field House is well appointed, you can buy drinks and snacks etc. downstairs, and enjoy some time in a covered staging area upstairs.

It's a bit of a walk to most of the fields, save airball, but well worth it. Recent renovations have helped give the entire facility a more compact, easy to access feel. Currently, there are 3 main fields of play.

First is Forts, other reviews have mentioned, high fort, low fort, woods in between, bunkers, etc. Overall it makes for experience, especially for attack and defend. Forts is often sliced in half and played from mid field down to speed the action, and provide a more diverse experience.

Second is City, the City at Hurricane Mountain used to be WAAAY far from the field house, it has recently been pulled much closer and rearranged to provide a much faster, more high-intensity style of game. This field is consistently a favorite for most of the players who come out.

Third is airball, not much to say there, the field is flat, the grass is nice, and the sized reasonably. The bunkers are a bit the worse for wear, but still serviceable, and with the proper layout up this field is dynamite for 3-man, solid for 5-man, and straight up insane with more than that

Prices are reasonable, I've paid a lot more at some fields, but then again, I've paid less at others. Given the facility, and the experience it's worth it to me. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but not too much, the owner has signs with arrows and distances posted at most of the major intersections that lead to the field, which is a lot more than can be said for many, harder to find, fields.

The only problem I've run into is that turnout is spotty at best. Some weeks, usually when the weather is awful, the place will be packed. Other weeks, usually when it's perfect paintball weather, it's a ghost town. I'd recommend calling ahead before just showing up as a single player. Or, get together a group, or a couple groups, of folks to bring with you!

You won't regret it!
