The field is one of the largest in the nation. Recently moved to a better location. Xball, 5 man airball, hyperball and mounds. Also have two killer woods fields. Excellent field for beginners and pros.

I have been going to paintball Atlanta off and on for about ten years or so now and have always had a good time there. The fields are taken care of and there is a good variety of them. While the refs can be somewhat rude to newer players a lot of it is due to kids not following the rules, ie. taking off masks on field not using barrel bags, etc. The main issue with this field is the super high prices. While i have a season pass and cases are only $60, paying $80 for anyone without a season pass is crazy expensive, not to mention $10 for all day air and then field fee. While it is good paint it does keep me from going more often. They can get away with these prices due to the wealthier clientele (rich parents) in the area. Overall i like playing at pbatl and recommend giving it a try.

Paintball AtlantaI will start with this, Paintball Atlanta operates on the "High Price, Low Volume" paint sales model. If you'd like to research that phenomenon further, there are several good threads explaining it...

Having said that, I feel PBA gets a bit of a bum wrap for their high pricing. You don't want to pay a ton of money to play there? Buy a season pass, or shoot less paint. I didn't play at PBA very much during my hardcore "tournament" years because I was shooting a case (or more) per day. Now I play with a pump gun, I can get a whole day of play at this field for under $40 which would be considered downright affordable by most players. It's all a matter of perspective. On to the rest of the review...
Customer Service: It's sort of tough to get a read on PBA's CS, some of the guys are super cool and super friendly, some are a bit more standoffish. Generally, though you get taken care of quickly and efficiently at the check-in station, and the service is friendly enough. The refs, same deal, if you're following the rules and not being an idiot they'll be friendly enough. If you're making an idiot of yourself, they're not going to be so friendly, and you're going to deserve it.
Quality of Fields: Paintball Atlanta's facilities are very nice, a quite well kept. There is a basic woodsball field where you can play...woodsball. One large scenario/concept field which can be divided in half on slower days. Three hyper ball fields, two with real pipe, one more with "legos" and pipe mixed in. One mounds field, and one large hybrid woods/speedball field. All of these fields are more than capable of producing great back and forth play and a lot of fun in general. For you naysayers, this is where a lot of that "extra" money you pay goes.
Fun / Experience: Safety is going to be number one all day long. You are going to hear about safety until your head is full, and it runs out your nose. With good reason. The majority of PBA's clientele are younger players who are renting and have little to no experience. They need to be told every game not to take their masks off etc. The crowd is usually quite large, even of Wednesday's in the dead of the Georgia summer PBA has no problem putting 50+ players on the field. Weekends are even busier, I have seen double that number on a 19 degree morning in the dead of winter. This field draws a crowd. On less crowded days, there is one "Open Group" the refs do their best to split teams fairly, and generally do a good job of it. They go out of their way to try and protect newbies from getting blown up by the more experienced players. I think the overall experience at this field is what you make it, with so many players to look after the staff will have trouble swaying you one way or the other. If you're ready for the price and follow the rules etc. you're going to have positive experience at this field.
Value: It's not cheap. This is a FIELD PAINT ONLY place, and field paint is $80/case, $60/case if you buy a season pass. You can see where that money has gone though, the location is good, the facilities are quite nice, and there is a large staff on hand. Those things cost money. As I said earlier though, no one is forcing you to buy or shoot paint by the case. If you have a mechanical or pump marker and can get away with shooting 500-1000 balls per day, then you can play here quite economically. Value is what you paid vs. what you get. You may pay more here, but you also get more than most places as well. I consider this field to be a solid overall value, even if the price can be expensive.
Overall, Paintball Atlanta is a decent place to play. They definitely cater to the newer crowd, so more experienced players may not enjoy themselves as much. This field is 15 mintues from my home, and I often opt to play at other fields that have lower pricing and different clientele. That doesn't mean Paintball Atlanta a BAD field, it means that I am not considered one of their target customers.
If you're in South Forsyth county or the surrounding area, this field is worth the visit at least once. If it's the place for you, you'll know it, if it's not, you'll still probably find yourself visiting every once in a while.

Paintball ATL is overall a great field. For new players, it has some great fields and a safe open environment. The whole place is run very well. For tournament players it is an okay field, the paint is a little pricey, and there isnt an airball field, but if its near you its still a good field.

Paintball Atlanta is kind of disappointing. They have awesome fields but the refs pick the fields you play on and they choose the same two all day long. It's field paint only and the only paint they offer is RPS which is $60 but on top of that they charge you $80 for a case. C02 and air refills cost money as well. They also charge you for every little repair, i had to pay 3 bucks once just to get a screw replaced.
All in all I would definitely recommend going. If you win the lottery.

Paintball AtlantaThis place sucks. They make you pay at least $80 for their paint and you cannot bring your own paint. They overprice everything in everyway possible. Overall, don't go!

i've played PB Atlanta several times, which is several times too many. the prices are the highest in the city and the employees have been pretty awful each time. and for the record, awful = completely disinterested in the customer's experience, willing to help only begrudgingly, and short with customers (in particular newbies). it just isn't a very well-managed field and, given the costs, you would expect a little better service.

I've been going to paintball atlanta since 2009 and it is a great field overall. Alot of people complain about the refs and say there all dicks, but you can't judge a book by its cover. I agree that there are a few ******* refs but not all of them, the ones I know always are nice and help me out with tips and such. Sometimes they do give you a attitude if you just ask for simple things. THE BAD THING is the price, if you don't have a season pass it gets really pricey, 80 for paint and 10 to play if you don't! You also can't bring your own paint.
Overall: I recommend going their and trying it out for yourself and then decide if you like it, I do.

I've been playing at this field since I started playing paintball 7 years ago. They have woodsball fields, speedball, hyperball and they used to have airball a few years ago and i believe more air fields are in the works. the staff is very friendly and a very safe environment to play paintball and have fun. I'd recommend this field to tourney players, scenario players, new players to the sport, young, old, inexperience, experienced...anyone really! The refs do a good job of splitting up teams so that every game is as fair as possible. Shout out to Mel, Tito, Jason....and J!!!
