The first time I went to ASC (December 2009), was the 2nd time I played woodsball and about the 4th time I played paintball. I went to ASC because it's the closest field to where I live. (but I would drive twice as far to get here if I had to) The second time I played there(Feb 2010), I knew I wanted to come back, ALOT, so the 3rd time I bought a season pass. It hasn't been a year yet and I've been to ASC every chance I've had (almost every weekend the field was open in 2010). I even organized an office outing special event day (shooting co-workers is fun).
Open play or Scenario event, 100+ players or <20, rain or shine or even snow, it has always been a good time. I've learned something from someone every time I'm out there. The seasoned veterans are willing to take a minute to give tips here and there. Occasionally after a game is over there will be a "mini clinic" usually regarding "cover and move" or communication.

If there's a group of kids who've never played, usually one of the vets will take command of the group to get them in the game. They're a lot happier when they were the one to flip the flag, not just watching from the edge of the action.

I can't really describe it other than having a "good vibe." Out of paint? ask around somebody has some, need a tool, battery or o-ring? someone's got one. I even see people borrowing a marker if theirs breaks or just to "Try it out." A very friendly atmosphere: after games there's hand shaking and fist bumping, not yelling and shoving.

As stated in reviews above the price is great, free air all day and bring your own paint. The Season pass ($150 in 2010) is a KILLER deal, I'll be getting one again next year. On event weekends, there's usually a paintball vendor with cases of paint, along with all sorts of gears from batteries to masks to markers. Sometimes there will be a food vendor, or the owners will man a grill or you can order some pizza from the place in town.

Cliffnotes: That's a long review, but it's all valid and true. So go back and read it, or come to ASC and have a good time. The owner is a cool guy and his safety briefing is all kinds of EPIC, someone said it's on youtube but I never checked.

Pros: The Field is run and owned by paintballers & BYOP!
Cons: Campgrounds could improve
Being “Grey-haired” paintballers, let us give you our unique perspective on ASC:

Terrain is where it should be. There’s just enough topography to make it interesting but not blow your lungs (or knees) out.

Cover varies from thick to wide open and a good mix throughout the field. So if you’re the belly-crawling sniper or the testosterone-laden adrenalin junky that can’t stay off the front line, you’ll find an area to suit your play.

ASC has a bunker complex, hill-top POW camp and a combat town that as it grows will rival any in the Northeast.

But really counts are type of player that gravitates here. Yeah you get your sour apple once in a while, but the sportsmanship and camaraderie here are as good as it gets.

Scenarios are balanced before they start. You’ll not play 4:1 odds here unless you want too.

Finally, the new owner has (continues to) resurrected this field the way it should have been – by enlisting the players who will run this field in the design and construction of it. What better way to build a following of loyal players than to give them a sense of ownership to the field.

All kinds of terrain, buildings and challenges. Major games are well produced and always a blast to play. 2-Day scenarios usually have night games and you can camp right at the field! They also allow tanks at most major events so LAW players can have fun too!

Regulars (teams and players) are fun to play along side or against and there is always a friendly atmosphere!

I'm really looking forward to next season!
