I discovered this field when I moved to the area and called them up to ask some questions. I reached the owner, Bryan, how gave me a detailed overview of the entire field and their operations. It sounded right up my alley so I went to check it out. When I got there, I met Bryan who recognized my voice from the phone call a few days prior and greeted me by name. That customer service alone blew me away.

While they only permit field paint, the prices are affordable and they have two options: standard or premium. The standard runs in the $50/case range and the premium is about $70/case. All day HPA is included with your $10 admission. Rental gear is affordable as well, but I'm not entirely sure on the prices as I always bring my own. They also have a variety of accessories to rent such as coveralls, remote lines, chest protectors, pod pouches, etc. Whatever you need, they've got you covered.

There are several fields to play on, each with game types unique to them. Bear in mind I prefer woodsball and scenario play so this field is perfect for me. From headquarters, capture the flag, team elimination, escort the VIP, capture/defend the hill, there is something for everyone. From the open field battles on Port to the close quarters on Carnage to the city havoc on Fuel, there are fields for all kinds of players' preferences.

The staff is excellent and won't hesitate to offer advice, enforce safety rules, clean your mask, paint check, snap photos during the games, and more. It's one of the most involved staffs I've encountered who truly go above and beyond what you'd expect to make your day awesome. The owners, Bryan and Angie, are top notch and will assist you in any way they can.

I highly recommend this field and frequent here a couple times a month.

The field(s) reviewed

There are more than a bunch of fields (vastly woodsball type) for which players to play on at this location. Each field had its own different feeling or attitude (a positive thing). The fields varied from flat terrain to a sort of hilly type with up and down bumps. We feel that there is plenty of variety available to suit almost every type of player. All of the fields that we played on here were very clean (as far as non natural items go, ex; trash, plastics, ect). The fields also were very player friendly, there were a variety of hides for players as well as a variety of sizes for the hides (so tall players will have an semi easy time finding things to obtain cover from without a lot of bending, twisting and uncomfortable positions from which to play from/in. My single negative thing I can say (and its more of a personal thing than a likely wide spread ordeal) is that some of the fields were a small hike to get to from the player staging/prep area, this seemed to drain some of my energy that could have and would have been better spent playing, but again that is just a personal observation and not likely a widely held issue. It is not bad enough to keep us from wanting to play there again in the future.

Checking in

We were greeted with great attitudes and friendliness upon checking in. The checking in process was smooth and took a very short period of time due to the competence of the staff here. The staff was helpful in making sure that we had all the supplies (paint, ect) that we needed to play. There were a lot of people that either assisted us or that we dealt with during the day, but names are something that memory just will not hold on to, but we didn't meet, interact or deal with anyone that worked there with a negative attitude, they all had the a positive helpful attitude.

Staging area

This area is large and has roughly 10 tables for players/groups to store their items at while playing. The table area also provides a great shaded area in which to grab a rest between games or during a break. One large positive thing we can say about this is that the staging area for the players is located behind the main check-in building and we frequently saw employees from the field almost constantly around the area, so it was nice to see that there were people sort of looking over the players personal belongings while they were out playing.

Field personnel

We have nothing to negative to say about our dealings with the field personnel. Despite the younger age of our ref/host, he was both knowledgeable and helpful. He was also fair and unbiased when refereeing our playing matches. There were occasions when an opposing team/player had called for a paint check and the ref was right on top of the request. On many occasions, there was also a 2nd ref for the matches and even though we think that ref was a newbie/trainee we feel as though he did a good job and was also fair. Both of the refs we had for our matches were active, they were constantly moving through out the field and taking an active role in officiating the game being played.

Costs

The field admission price is $10 per player which includes compressed air for the entire day. This a field only paint field. For paint they have two options from which to choose from, the 1st option is the XPX standard paint at costs of $48 per case (and also buy the 500 ball bag) and the 2nd option is the XPX premium at $68 a case (also buy the 500 ball bag). We shot the XPX standard and had no problems with breakage or chopping.

Rentals - They have rentals available (but as per their website and our experience) if you need a rental, its best to call in advance and reserve what you need. Rentals are priced at $15 for the marker, hopper, air tank, barrel bag and face mask. Additional items such as coveralls, pod packs and the like can be added as well.

Misc items

The fields hours are 10am until 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays (also additional days for special events/groups)
The phone number is 407-873-9793
They have specials for groups of 10 or more
Their website is - http://www.xtremepaintballxperience.com

Update - August 2011

Having made another visit we stand by our first posting. We had the same quality experience during today's visit. The refs were good, always on top of things, active and the whole lot.
There were a few newbies at the field today and the refs (along with the majority of experienced players) were a great help with getting them in tune with how things are done and how things work, which made for a better experience for every player. I would certainly recommend this field for players who are just starting out as the staff (and players) in our experience have all been happy to assist without grumbling or the like new players who do want to learn.
We have experienced only vastly positive things with regards to the XPX standard paint. With a price of $48 a case it is very realistic in price for a case. We did shoot about half a case of the XPX Premium but for the price differential and having had only about 2-3 balls out of shooting a case of paint we just find it an added expense that is not necessary as the benefits we encountered are marginal

I love playing at xtreme! I have played at most of the fields around central Florida and xtreme is by far the best bang for your buck. They have multiple woodsball fields with multiple scenarios to accommodate different playing styles. When I first started playing I bought my own gear and was having issues after every game. The staff knew what to do and how to fix my problems and get me back on the field playing! They have a great, and friendly staff. As long as you obey the rules, as you should at any field, the refs are awesome as well. Highly recommended!!!!

Xtreme Paintball is a really good field. I had a blast out that way and will go again sometime soon. The best part about the gigantic field they have out there is player base that attends Xtreme. Some of the best rec-ball players I've ever played with. The staff was helpful and friendly and the refs knowledgeable and fair. However there are some major flaws with the field. They have an speed ball field, however very little games were played on it the day I attended. The fields double as a cow pasture...so there are cow patties everywhere.. which if you aren't paying attention could prove messy. But the biggest problem I had with the field is the walk to play every game. It takes about 5 min to walk from the staging area to the fields. So when you play there.. bring you big HPA tank and a huge pod pack..

I finally got to play paintball again this past Saturday. When it came to a field to play at I only had one absolute choice and that was XPX. The field was excellent. The refs were outstanding and kept things fun and in control. This field was awesome when the last time I played and it has gotten even better since. I cant wait to check out CTShield and Zombie Adventure. Thanks for the great time!

Went there with a small group. The place was too overcrowded with tourists but we drove a ways to get there. We paid for admission and paintballs. They have no co2. We wanted to rent compressed air tanks and they said they were out. So we couldn't play. They wouldn't give us a refund or even a rain check. We won't be going back.
