Pros: great variety great recall great talent
Cons: It sucks driving to from NYC during the summer
Topgun is amazing.

I used to purposely stay at my dads house on the weekends when i was a little kid so i could play recbal at topgun. they had all the cool fields especially the one with the lake , and the lego field. Reason why i still like it is because they have grown man bunkers none of this 3 foot bunkers that other fields in nj have. they have quality bunkers on their field that a 6 foot man can stand behind and play. the alamo also kicks *** (kind of like a castle).

their big games kick ***. tuna ball was fun

their competitive paintball kicks *** too. Weds night lights is fun for some pickup games on the 7 man field, also there is a lot of talent there on the weekends for psp practices. also the refs move things along and they have a list of teams to play in order to keep the games rolling. the only other field that comes close to running games back to back is fireball mountain.

the guys in the store are cool too, big Jim has a pretty legit field here check it out.

* if your driving during the summer to avoid the jersey shore traffic this place is right next to 6 flags. which is halfway in between the parkway and NJ turnpike. during the summer months everyone uses the parkway because it goes along the coast towards all the shore houses, take the turnpike instead and avoid the traffic, you can also do 85mph without getting pulled over. (if its a week night take the cars side, if its a weekend take the trucks side).

Cons: To many people, lakc of organization on speedball
Went to play speedball, there were at least 60 people there, and only one field,
the field is near a swamp and smell like *****, there was only 1 ref trying to cordinate 10-12 teams, making it imposible for people to actualy get good games, after 2 hours into the day the ref gave up on cordinating the teams and just started to say that to play the team had to ref, but he would allow 10 team enter the field at the same time to ref and no one would know who were next.

I've played Topgun Paintball in Jackson NJ a few times, mostly because it's so close.

This past weekend, I was there, and the staff were terrible.

First of all, as others have pointed out, it's way too expensive for what you get. $40 for all day play, but no discount for people who have their own equipment? Outrageous. Part of that $40 that rental players pay goes towards cleaning, maintaining, and the original buying of that equipment. That's fine and it makes sense. But EVERY other field in NJ cuts the price significantly for BYO...not these guys though.

As if the walk-on charge wasn't ridiculous enough, they rape you for $80 for a case of mediocre paint. Can't use any other brand....ever. To make matters worse, the paint they pushed on me this past weekend was in the worse condition I've ever seen. A vast majority of the balls had dimples and large flat surfaces on them. And as you can imagine, it just flew all over the place once it left the barrel. When I pointed out how bad it was to the staff in the 'pro'-shop, they couldn't care less. I got such snarky responses such as, "what do you want us to do, check every single ball for you?". No, I expect a certain level of quality of the product you're forcing me to buy! They weren't concerned with the inferiority of the paint at all! They wouldn't even discount it, although the paint was obviously very old or stored wrong. They tried that, "well this is premium level paint" line too. First of all, it's not, it's mid-level at best. Secondly, it doesn't matter what quality the paint WAS when it left the factory, if it's dented to hell by the time you use it, it's basically worthless.

If they were running low on good stock, and were caught off guard, I could have understood. If they acknowledged and apologized about the quality, promised to provide better products in the future, and gave me a deal on the paint they had, I'd still be a loyal customer. (Because stuff happens, we all know that!) But if you're going to have such a condescending and disrespectful attitude towards players, even ones who were coming there for some time and bought equipment there, I just can't recommend anyone going to Topgun Paintball in Jackson NJ.

There are far too many fields in NJ with better paint and friendlier staff, to have to put up with the experience of this weekend.

They have awesome fields and a nice pro shop, and great staff. I had lots of fun playing there. It was my intro to pb at the time my gf now ex had paid for me and 3 friends to go there for my birthday. it was so much fun but i cant afford to go back. They over charge like crazy. They only allow field paint and they charge $80 per case. even their entry fees are a little pricy. i mean i completely understand a them charging more for their paint but 80 for a case is ridiculous especially because it isnt the most amazing paint out there. I could see 60 a case but 80 is unreasonable. if they decide to lower prices one day then id end up going there all the time. till then i will prob not return there

This place has a very large following of regulars who help keep things running smooth and friendly.

People who complain about paint prices need to aim more and spray less.

I do with they would allow non-field paint (even for a fee) just because not everyone has a barrel kit. I'd like to bring the type of paint I know my gun likes.

Topgun Paintball was a name you always heard about. I would compare it being in the Top 2 fields of being heard from word of mouth on the east coast, as far as woods-ball and the many different styles of fields, Topgun has to offer. The fields are always being updated and revamped, and we try to build one new field a year, to increase our many game type scenarios. Although some customers might believe the price is a little high, we currently have many different special prices and packages in which you can choose from, that satisfies you the most.

Top Gun Paintball Top Gun is a PSP destination for a reason. The field is equipped for both recreational players and tournament players alike. This is one of the best fields in the North East.
