Pros: Fun to play in the Redwoods
Cons: Few games, poor refs, shooting distance rules.
Have played there several times over the years when a friend or relative convinces me it is for a good cause or that the field has changed its ways. The most recent outing was the worst playing experience I have had in 17 years of playing at more than 30 fields in several countries.

Pros:
-Redwood forest fields
-Large fields with varied terrain
-Paint sold at field shot well and was reasonably priced
-Admission price and rental price are pretty good.

Cons:
-Unmotivated and Non-proactive refs
-Shooting distance rule enforcement
-Long turnaround between games
-Overall value reduced due to low volume of quality games played.

I really love playing in the redwoods considering that is where I started playing years ago. The fields are well layer out and have just enough cover to make them fun but not too much so the games move at a good pace...once you get to play.

Once the rentals in our group had their equipment and we had gone through the safety brief, we sat there for 20 minutes until someone went up and asked when games would start. We ended up only playing 8 games for the whole day. Lazy refs had to be hounded to go out and play and insisted we come in after 2 games when everyone wanted to play more than the 2 8 minute games we had just completed. Breaks were far too long between game sets.

They also have a shooting distance limit which I personally hate, especially with how it was implemented. No shooting closer than 30 feet was allowed. People would run down the field to close the distance and then it was all about who yelled surrender first regardless of surprise or terrain advantage or any other myriad of factors. I was taken out because a guy crawled up in a ditch 15 feet away and yelled surrender without ever even popping up. 4 of us were pulled because we were within 30' of him.
