I purchased a new inline regulator from ANSgear ($70 part) and was EXTREMELY disappointed with not only my purchase, but with their customer service.

The part I received had dings and scratches all over the chrome surface as well as tool marks on the threads. The retail packaging, not the shipping box, was is even worse condition; the sides were a beat up and ripped apart.

I contacted ANS gear immediately about my purchase and did not receive a response for eight days. In the response, I was told there is nothing ANSgear/extreme would do for me. They said if I wanted to complain or try and receive a replacement part, I should contact the source company of the part.

I did some research and found many reviews similar to mine with customers receiving used or faulty parts. They had the same results as myself: NOT getting their money back or receiving a working replacement.

I am VERY disappointed with this company's business policy as they do not care about their customers. They have not only list my business, but all of my friend's business as well.

I hope this review is very useful to anyone looking for insight into this company. My recommendation is to take your money elsewhere and not purchase from ANSear/extreme.

Placed an order on black Friday weekend assuming I would receive the paintball guns by Christmas. Order went through, credit card was charged the full amount. 17 days later (about a week before Christmas) I receive a refund with no explanation at all. When I called ANSgear they were very rude and called me a liar. It ended up being a typo on their part, but instead of taking responsibility for their own mistake, they blamed me and held my money for 17 days without contacting me at all and then cancelled my order and refunded my money. Now I am struggling to find replacement Christmas presents in time. I do NOT recommend ANSgear to anyone.

Cons: super bad customer service
Do not buy from them. All is good until they mess up. They have a bunch of what it seems like teenage kids that refuse to help. I received my order incomplete and I was told there is nothing they could do. Do yourself a favor and read other reviews about similar experiences. It surprises me how a company can be this bad about their customer service and still be in business.

They gave me the number to call Crossfire for a "warranty replacement" and after speaking to Crossfire, apparently I'm about the 20th customer with this same problem!!

If this isn't fixed I won't order again and will be filing a complaint with the BBB. Fix it and I'll update/remove my review.

The Grinch that stole Christmas..... also known as ANSgear!


For Christmas, I decided to by my son a hopper from ANSgear. I made the purchase on Wednesday, December 19th first thing in the morning. To ensure my son would get the gift on time for Christmas I paid for 2 day shipping. This allowed the package to come in on Friday the 21st if it shipped on time and worst case would come in on Monday the 24th.

Thursday in the afternoon, I noticed that there was a hold on my order stating Fraud?!? I called ANSgear and asked why they not only held my order for fraud, but why they did not verify or call me to ensure they were correct. I complained to the woman on the phone and she apologized for their mistake however they would not pay for my shipping or upgrade it for free as my package was now late!

I argued with the women for about ten minutes until she offered me a 50% discount on overnight shipping so I could ensure that my son's gift would get it on time for xmas. I paid over the phone for the extra shipping cost (so now I have not only paid for 2 day shipping, but now overnight shipping) and she guaranteed the package would ship same day (Thursday).

With the expedited shipping, my package should have arrived the next day (Friday). However I received nothing in the mail. I decided to give them a chance and wait till Christmas Eve morning for the package. When nothing came in the mail, I signed into my account to figure out what happened to my son's gift.....

NOT ONLY did they not overnight the package like they had promised (Which I had paid for), they canceled all of my expedited shipping and put standard 5-7 business ground shipping on my order.

My son had no gift to open for Christmas and had a looked very disappointed look on his face when I told him he wouldn't get his gift till December 27th.

ANSgear ruined my son's Christmas and I will never be doing business with them again.

I've purchased many items from ansgear.com, but this is the first time I've ever bought a jersey from them. The jersey I bought was a size too small(obviously my fault), but the elastic thread on the sleeves were coming undone EVEN THOUGH there's a stamp that says the package was inspected. Next I did what any other customer would do and called ansgear to see if I can exchange the jersey. The representative told me that if I wanted to exchange the jersey I would having the item shipped to them is at my expense AND having the new jersey shipped to me would ALSO be at my EXPENSE! Now I even told him that the jersey was damaged upon receiving it, but he tells me that it's not their problem and that I would have to call the manufacturer to get it replace instead of them. This goes to show that even though they "inspect" their goods they don't care in what condition they send it to you in because they aren't responsible. This is a sign of bad customer service, poor quality control and just down right pure laziness. Never ever will I buy anything from ansgear ever again!

Ps: For those of you who think I'm overreacting or that this only happened to me feel free to also read these reviews. This is not the first time that this has happened nor will it be the last!

Extremely disappointed in this company. First time buyer and I spend ~$700.

This is my Email I sent to them:

"I made an order earlier this month, Order #429771, and when I received my package, there was a marker bag, not the backpack that I had ordered. Customer Service was quick about responding to my issue, and I mailed out the incorrect item the next day, and your company received it back 4 days later. I was reimbursed for my shipping expenses as promised, however, when I had ordered the backpack in the first place I paid extra for express shipping. When my backpack was shipped to me after you received the marker bag, it was sent FedEx Smart Post and is now taking 2 weeks to be delivered, which is three weeks after it was supposed to be delivered in the first place. I am lugging around the other items I bought from you in a cardboard box. I am very dissatisfied as this was my very first order with your company. When a company makes an error I expect it to be resolved quickly and efficiently. Priority shipping it back would have been the correct thing to do as a business that is trying to satisfy a customer, especially a first time customer. When I called in, I only got an apology, nothing else. At minimum I had expected a discount code for a future purchase to try and keep me a customer. I would have preferred to have been contacted prior to shipping and been told it would take two weeks, at which point I would have gladly paid the difference to ship it quicker. Thanks for your time."

Their response was:


"Dear Eric,

I sympathize with your situation, disappointment, frustration that you have only received an apology. Unfortunately, it is up to our discretion of which shipping method would be used to ship the correct item to you. We hope that you understand that human error does apply but we are certainly more than happy to correct any errors we have made. I do apologize that the pacakge is going to take roughly 2 weeks to be delivered, I will take note and give it to my manager baout posible having our shipping department contact the customers before shipping to possible see if they would like to upgrade he shipping method.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, I am more than happy to assist you in any way possible. Our hours of operation are Monday Friday, 8a.m 6p.m PST, you can also reach us at 805-522-8700.

Purchased a board, some pods, and a jersey from the easter sale selection and somehow my board was sold out even though I was charged for the complete order. Long story short, no communication on their end, I never got my board. They refunded that portion, and overnighted my additional items. Still disappointing that you could purchase something shown as in stock, yet somehow it sells out. Seems like poor inventory management. I will try to avoid doing business with them again based on principle.
