Well-respected paintball park in Northern Kentucky (just across the river from Downtown Cincinnati), that offers tons of excitement and fun, ranging from Open Play, Tournaments, X-Ball, Pro Shop, and friendly owners to help you out with anything you need.

Great for anyone just starting, they will keep you with other who will not dissuade you from coming back.
If you're a dedicated player, they have tournaments that will keep you coming back.

I hadn't played at Diehard since 2007 so I decided to head on down there this past Saturday to play.
Positive: There are four fields to play; woodsball (more like speedball in the woods), airball, a speedball field called "plastic-X", and a very small field called "log cabin." The staff was very friendly and the reffing was pretty good. Safety is paid close attention to. The prices are reasonable, about 62 for a case, entry, and all day air. You are able to bring your own paint. Clean bathrooms! Plenty of tables to set your stuff on (I hate grabbing ground). Reasonably priced food and drinks. Also their gun tech is good.
Negative: Would like to see a stronger tournament style presence there. Aside from myself there was only two other players with much experience, however the refs jumped in and played with us periodically. This was just that one day so I dunno exactly what the usual scene is. The airball field is alright but is not by any means a regulation style field. The netting around the airball field is weak and the bottom blew up part way through the day and we couldn't play it anymore. Seems like a pretty good problem so I am not sure why they don't make more of an effort to permanently fix it. I feel like the refs could have moved games quicker. I wish they would have taken more initiative to get games organized.
Conclusion: Pretty good place to play. I enjoyed my day there and will be going back in the future. There are some minor problems that can be fixed, as with any other field, but it is not enough to ruin the experience. Would like to see more competetive players their, but this was the first time I'd been at Diehard for 3 years so I dunno what type of players usually show.

Pros:
On an average day this field offers a very high level of competition from its regulars and you will get better playing here. After you play awhile this means a lot after you get tired of whipping up on first timers. Many other local courses I can expect to dominate game after game because they lump large groups of new players against experienced players, not here.
At this field I always have to up my game, take hits and be willing to play aggressively, brand new players are either paired up with experienced players or separated onto a separate field so it is not a bad experience. The courses are thought out, very fast paced, and the games are generally well ref’d.
The field has a pro-shop with a decent selection of gear, paint, supplies and helpful staff.
Cons:
I have to write this part to be fair and hopefully to improve a great place to play paintball.
If you are woodsball fan, this place is limited. It only has one woodsball course and it is more of a long hyperball course.
The field has a Semi-automatic only rule, that I have observed them letting some people slide on. Un-capped semi or auto response triggers are not semi, you know who you people are. This sucks when everyone is playing by the rules and then some d-bag roles out shooting 20+ bps using their special “semi” mode and the ref’s let it slide. Either have true semi only rules and enforce it on everyone or don’t have it at all.
Last one of the cons is the start time, the field starts running games at 11:00AM, but sometimes it takes till noon to get the first game going, which always makes me feel a bit screwed on my course fee.
Overall:
I think this place is one of the best places to play paintball. I keep coming back time after time so that says something.
