I don't know when the above individual played there,but I practice there every weekend,and from time to time it might get a little windy,but not enough to affect my gameplay. As for the reffing,well u say not much has changed in ten years,well the reffs have changed allot of times. I personally have moved bunkers in that place myself!! And I've been playing there for years. That place has seen many changes in more ways than one over the years,and they're planning another one right now. So come out and judge for yourselves. Whether you play rec ball or speed ball you won't be disappointed.GUARANTEED!!!!

Herbies has become a second home to me on every weekend I can get off work. The owner has been doing paintball for a long time and it shows. The staff are on top of everything, they know the games, the markers, and how to have a great time. Saftey is stressed at all times almost to a fault, but they give paintball a good name. They offer everything that you need to play, and if you've forgeotten something at home IE a mask, barrel cover, feedneck or something of the like, herbie will let anyone barrow almost anything for the day. Herbie doesnt allow monster ball and other similiarly crappy paint, which I thank him for (You'll know if you every got shot with it), but he does supply some great paint at good prices (new players wont understand). Since gap has stop making paint, herbies has been looking for new vendors, (which has lead to some scketchy batches) but they know their paint, and rotate it frequently, so dont be afraid to get paint at the field (plus that way there is less to pack and transport overall)
Now for the actual feilds. This is an outdoor feild, and has all the pros and cons that come along with that. Be prepared for weather, dirt, rocks, and the occasional weed (only things that will actually grow out there). These are kept to a minimum by the staff, who I have witnessed "de-rocking" feilds for hours on end, and even by the owner who spends his fair share of time grooming the fields, I actually feel bad for them most of the time. Now for the Pros, Herbies is HUGE. They have more feilds than I have energy to play in one day. There are the favorites of course, like the legos, colored tires, black tireds, and newly designed middle feild. There are also the slightly dreaded but still fun feilds like the western town (new guys wont understand this one) or bunkerhill (mainly because I am lazy). But bottom line, I have never had a bad day at herbies, I have played through snow, rain, dust, and wind, but I never played a game I wanted to forget. Being on dirt is actually nice, plenty of grip, and never a spot drenched in paint. The wind is your freind on hot days, or shooting around a corner, and I have disguised my head as a rock plenty of times, and who can put a price on sunshine?
My conclusion is, get out there and play.

i started out playing at herbies. and once i became a regular things got better. but before that paint prices kept going up ridiculously high and i spent most of my time waiting for a ref to take another group for a game. i do recommend this field because of the great diversity of field arrangements and types of game play .

I have to say I think AEG SPECIALIST went to a different field. I came on to review Herbie’s and wanted to read a couple before posting mine. This guy or girl defiantly has the wrong field being reviewed. When I was out there last weekend I had a great time. The place is huge, they had like 11 or 12 completely different fields cant remember exactly how many but each one was a different playing experience from a town to big tires and speedball. I have played all over the world over the last 30 years of playing paintball and I found Herbies to be one of the top places for total experience of play, sure there is no woods ball because it is in NV, but that is the only type of play that is missing with that said the customer service was outstanding, very friendly and caring about my personal experience despite all the other people out there. Herbie and his staff truly cared that I had the time of my life and got what I paid for.
Back to the field size I would say Bunker Hill (I think that is what it was called) and the big tire field alone are over 12 acres I was just glad I had so many people to shoot because I got tired running back and forth the fields where so dang big.
Also confused about the lunch cost complaint, it was hot dogs and hamburgers with chips and a drink cooked on a grill fresh for like 4 or 5 bucks???? I personally appreciated it as I didn’t want to leave to get something because I was having so much fun.
Long story short Great field with tones of different fields to choose from, great Customer Service, Great attitudes from everyone playing, everyone had fun!!!!!! I will take my family and friends there again and again. Thank you Herbie.

It's big, has lots of different speed ball fields, and is always loads of fun....

It's big, has lots of different speed ball fields, and is always loads of fun. The people there are friendly, and everyone is willing to help. This is a great field for rec ballers, 1st time paintballers, and especially kids.
I bring my kids and play there as much as we can, hope to see you there!
