Frequent speedball player. Major improvements to their speedball field within the last year. It's well maintained and the astroturf is new so its not like complete concrete!! I personally love the environment there. I couldn't recommend a better place for speedball in Arizona.

Best paintball field in all of arizona.

The recball field has tons of buildings for close quarters and lots of open desert area for those long ballers.

The speedball field is soft, cushy and the only grass field in arizona.
The bunkers are quality and stay up through more then 2-3 games in a row.

The staff is courteous and typically goes outta their way to meet the customers needs.

The refs are fair and concerned with safety and maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

They have a fun hyperball field as well.

Great place all across the board.

I've played at Cowtown a handful of times over the years. Every now and then I decide that I need to remind myself why I don't go there anymore, and I usually leave with a new reason.

The last time I was there was for some Government vs Zombies scenario game. It was fun and all, if you're into trekking through loose sand and rocks trying to get shots through brush. Their compressor wasn't reaching anything over 2900psi, and nothing was being done to fix that.

The biggest thing I don't like about Cowtown Paintball is the pool of players that gather there. Most of them are the "God's gift to paintball" type who don't understand why they need to pay the same entry fee as everyone else. The other ones tend to be the rec-ballers who have their guns set to a fast ramp and love overshooting people. I've had plenty of problems with people wiping paint IN REC BALL, and the Speedball side is just as bad.

I've never been impressed by this field. I'll take my money elsewhere.

Been there twice. The rec-ball field is a desert setup, it's pretty large. It houses a cqb area, and also an Alamo-esque type area for scenario play in addition to all sorts of dug out bunkers and such in the wide open dirt area. The staff was all really friendly and were accommodating to our group of newbies. There was a group of us going in on paint, but all in all I found the prices to be alright. I have heard the paint they sell there is a little on the pricey side but they allow byop so that's a plus.
