Air Assault Paintball is a short drive from down town Minneapolis (20ish Minutes).
The proshop is large, and has a good selection of markers from Entry-Level to top of the line. The Proshop is staffed by two Planet Eclipse Techs, that are very knowledgeable and helpful.
The playing field is surfaced with quality turf, and the bunkers are kept in good shape. Very clean and in good repair. The Playing field is extremely high quality.
Air is provided to players as part of their entry fee, from two fill stations 4500 and 3000 PSI. The Reffing staff tries to run games as quickly as possible to allow players the most playing time.
The new paint Air Assault offers is quality RPS Marbalizer. The paint is a bit expensive compared to other fields in Minnesota, however they are the only high quality indoor field in the area, and since the entry fees are low at around $15 the field makes money by compensating its paint costs. The paint is quality, with a nice fill and quality round paint.
The only draw backs to this field are:
Price, at around $90 to play if you shoot a case its a bit steep for most players.
Players, as with any sport you will see cocky/rude players and AA has their share, as does any field, so this can be said for any field.
If you are looking for a quality indoor field to get a paintball fix in the winter Air Assault is the place to go.

They have a huge staging area with lots of tables.
The only problem is that paint can be a little pricey at times.

Played here in early January. It is pretty nice for an indoor field and it has nice airball bunkers and turf that surprisingly doesn't hurt that bad. However, there is only 1 field so if it is a busy day you may have wait time to get on to the field. Plus, if a group is there they get rotated in every other game or so so that can slow things down as well.
Overall the indoor field is nice and I would say most days aren't too busy so it is a great place to play in the winter.

Bunkers are clean and always fully inflated. The staff keeps teams fair, is friendly and provides good advice and tech help if needed.
The paint may be expensive compared to a few fields, but I've had the best paint I've ever shot here, and you shouldn't be complaining about having to shoot awesome paint if someone owns a $1k+ marker.
The only players I wouldn't recommend this field to are first time or novice players. The competition is tough with many tourney players and teams coming out for open play quite often.
Overall, best field I've played at for airball, and I can't wait to play at their outdoor field, Action Packed Paintball Games this coming spring.

Air Assault PaintballAir Assault is a great field. They have very nice turf, the paint shoots great. The air was plentiful at 4500psi all day and their prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend checking them...

Great field, I go there all the time. The turf is nice so you really don't even need knee pads. The bunkers are in good condition and stay up all day. The only bad thing is some busier days you can end up waiting for quite awhile because there is only one field. The pro shop is always stocked and they have amazing techs there. This is the play to play competitively, especially in winter. Their layouts are always fresh and interesting. Don't think twice go to Air Assault.
