NPPL Marker Table Thing?

I figured I'd ask here because the Ego is in "First Place". What is it based on? How many teams are using each marker? How well each team using a certain marker does? I'm thoroughly confused as to not only how it works, but why the NPPL even does it(it seems to me they are toting certain sponsors -Eclipse- at the risk of putting down others - Bob Long/Dye/SP.)

This is how it works.........its the same points the team using the ego got in that round...

I think you're right on how the points are divvied.

But, only markers & paint manufactured by top level NPPL sponsors are considered for the points race. (Which is why Shockers and GAP, for example, aren't on the list)
