The nepl site has been updated and now had capecod filled in the sept 8th spot instead of tba, so i guess global isnt coming back. Is anyone else getting sick of capecod pb? Playing a bunch of nepl's there and all PnL's there i wish we had more variety w/o traveling to main.

post your thoughts about cape cod for sept 8th

I just hope we don't have anymore at birch hill. Those fields suck, and its a long *** drive. Not to mention no one on our team can drive.

birch hill was awsome. the only think i disliked was the ****ty parking.

i can't get sick of the cape, the fields are awsome, the parking is great. the fields get changed once every so often so they are not that boring.

john

p.s.- yeah so i'm ****ing biased.. :D

How did the fields at Birch Hill suck? There are some good points and bad points to all the NEPL events. I have to drive 2+ hours to play at CCPB, but that doesn't make me say the fields suck. There are players for the NEPL all over New England (hence the name, or else it would be called the Cape Cod Paintball League).

I thought the field were good. Parking did suck, I'll give you that, and it was a hot dusty day. But I thought the fields played fairly. Netting was good so lots of "goggles-off" spaces to chill and watch the games.

I just want to know why you think they sucked? I know John and I'm sure if there is a specific thing he can do to make it better he will. As for the driving issue that's inconsequential and out of anyone but Time's control.

featherlite's team probably didn't do too well at birch hill, when he gets over it and grows up he'll stop complaining.

lol. That was my guess as well. The drive is horrible for most. Personally I am just psyched that in this area we have a bunch of fields we can play it, all within a couple of hours drive. Lots of areas in the country don't even have a store within a couple of hours drive. Never mind a field.

I just hate seeing people's investments into this sport getting negative reviews without specifics to give them a chance to address them. Imagine if we had 15 fields around here? The competition would force someone to always be trying to make their fields better and cheaper for all (it's happening now to some extent).

See ya in a few weeks!

Hi Joe!
No we'll be at your place that day. They decided to switch the 3-man to that date. We have a slight chance (if we run perfect and knock out 1 team) for those shiny new Eclipse Cockers. I hope you guys are playing that one. We need you to either win it or place 2nd for my Evil plan to come to fruition. Now if you win them that'll be good too. I'll hate you every day for a year but It's all good :-) You know that wouldn't be all true :-)

See ya tomorrow. Time to get ready for the biggest party of the year (well second to Mardi Gras) the Cup!:D

My team's playin for the first time at Cape Cod Paintball in the Sept 8 tourney, whats the competition in novice like?

Ok, I didn't like the different fields for different reasons. That maze-like hyperball one didn't have any stand up back bunkers, Alot of the sup' airs had very bad visibilty from the back cans. You had to sort of shoot randomly over the doritos.

it's ok. just remember the basics like snap shooting, communication, and be aware of the opponents and they'll do fine. the nov. div. is competitive butif you play well the cut is reletivly easey to make.

yeah, it's a good division. If you play hard. get your flags, and Stay alive. You'll make the cut to the semis. With probably 30 teams in Novice, top 16 go on.. there should be 30 novice teams I think.

Homer- Nah, we wont be at the 3 man. Were making our NEPL debut this year at the cape on the 8th, and were gonna play the fields on the first to get some solid practice in. See everyone the 8th, and possibly some of you the 1st. I'll be the kid with the dye jersey that says fat joe on it.

My brother and I will be going as spectators, as we plan on Officially Forming an NEPL team for 2003. I Have played Rec-ball for about Six Years, so I do know the A*S End of a Cocker, but have never played at an organized field or witnessed a Tournament. We are going mainly to get the feel and flow of Tourney's for the experience, and I just wanted to say Good Luck to all of you that will be competing! You have inspired yet another player of this great sport to achive greatness!

you know what they call people like you? a bad paintball player.

why don't we make the fields exactly the way you want them, so you don't have to try to play the field, or learn how to read the field.

you'll learn that fields change at tournies, you need to compensate, unless a field has razor sharp rocks/glass/tons of mud puddles it really shouldn't affect the way you play your game.

see you on the 8th..

There is a reason I said I didn't like it. I am well aware of the fact that im not that great. I just know that at the Cape it was my first tourney there, and I read the fields fine.

Right but fields like the one you speak of at birch hill make the games more interesting and tougher for the teams. There meant to challenge you, and your team, into THINKING a good way to play the field and to win the field. Take chicago open for example, look at the Ladder/Zipper/Grinder field. Those types of fields keep things interesting and keep teams on there toes. If you have a team that has some real talent, but cant read fields well, they may loose to a team that has an idea of how to handle a whack field. Its all about making you out smart your opponent and making you think. Plus its always nice to break away from the traditional field set ups cause 99% of the time there more fun to play.

Matt- I'll be there around 9, my whole team should show up by 10. We'll be ready to rock at about 1030ish. See ya there.

I suppose you are right, you have made some good points. They probably would have been more fun to play, had I been on them a longer time, lol.
